So was Joe Gyau. And Josh Gatt. And Julian Green. And Freddy Adu. "Get him into the USMNT ASAP"?? This guy literally just came on to our radar. We have to stop sensationalizing every flavor of the week.
If we were actually going to the WC next year, I'd probably agree with you about holding off on bringing this kid in. But since we're not I'm for holding what would amount to open trials using 2 squads; a European Squad and an Americans Squad for the next 6 months or so... We've got the January Camp for the US Based player and the March Window for the European based players. Then there's the Summer friendlies before the WC before we have to find a New Manager. Give all these players a chance to showcase themselves for the future.
I do not disagree about having an american and a euro based. My question is can we have an MLS and a euro based team durring each break. For example play Australia in the states or Australia and a Euro team play our european based teams. Is that allowed? To me it gets more guys on the pitch to see how the react, since we do not have a head coach why not just allow for more opportunities in the open windows.

I do believe it is possible if you designate one side a "B" side, but I dare say the "B" side cannot contain players that have received more than a few caps. I would also assume players in the "B" side would receive no official recognition for playing an international match since there would be a designated "A" team getting the official results.

And here comes the American youth injury curse. Brian Scarrietta reporting Amon has what is called a Tibia Bone Stress. Out indefinitely possibly back in spring.
I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a look after the USA friendlies from a better club in Europe, especially Germany. He has talent and should show well at LW during the friendlies. Good luck to the kid he could really help out in the future as there aren't really any of his type of players in the pool.
