US needs to aggressively recruit Latino players, needs to drop the xenophobic bull shit
As Latino myself... I dont see the "xenophobia"... What I see is clueless business man trying to make football/soccer decisions. Theres no urgency, no pressure... even as we speak after missing the world cup its pathetic.
As for player recruitment... I dont care whether they played in youth teams or not... Weve recruited many from different backgrounds and good for them in believing for playing for the USMNT. Commitment and playing proudly for your nation is a big thing and in saying that... thats something alot of the veteren player failed to show agaisnt T&T. That critizing not only goes to players that leave the US program but even some that have represented us, especially this cycle.
I personally believe one of the main sources of incompetence in US Soccer is Thomas Rongen and I think his line of irrational thinking and eccentric behavior has spread to others.

Did not realize Johnsen was doing so well in the Netherlands. Good for him. He is something of a late bloomer though, he was struggling to stick with clubs for years before this, playing games in the Bulgarian second division while we were in qualifying. Even at Hearts his numbers weren't great, so we can say we should have made a stronger run at him last year before Norway cap-tied him, but this was really his first great season this year at 26.
