1. US wins in CR- they won in Jamaica, they can win in CR
2. Mexico ties Honduras at Azteca- plausible especially with the way Mexico has fared in their past qualifiers at home
3. Panama loses or ties at home vs Jamaica- this is the least likeliest IMO. Jamaica has been pretty much eliminated and Panama were just runners up at the Gold Cup
These all could happen.
Yeah although jamaica has a new coach and they have called up a bunch of attacking players. For example they called up marlon king and luton shelton both werent included much by theodore whitmore 2 players who have extremly good scoring records in concacaf. Jamaica has gone all out and I could see them possibly getting a draw with panama. I think jamaica tying panama might not be so far fetched. Mexico honduras looks likely tie honduras is coming off of a good gold cup for them. Mexico on the other hand has gotten desperate by bringing in 2 argentines past their prime in hope of stirring them to victory. Honduras coach is smart he will play all 11 defending and just force mexico to cross and be frustrated down the middle.

Line-up Predictions:
CR:
EJ
Fabian Dempsey Donovan
Jones Bradley
Beasley Besler Brooks Cameron
Howard
Jozy won't start this game as a precaution. If we're down at half, he comes on at half. If we're up, he may not see any action this game. AJ comes off the bench in any scenario. Beckerman comes in to close up shop if we are up near the end of the game. Castillo may make his cameo appearance if he doesn't start at LB.
Again Castillo may start at LB, or come in as a LW type position late in the game. EJ off the bench for FJ or Donovan, or Jozy if he's hurting. AJ comes in at the end to ice the cake.

With Altidore cleared to play will KLinsmann start him? Since Klinsmann was adamant about winning in Costa Rica, I think Jozy starts, but is subbed out in the second half.
Here is my projected starting 11:
---------Jozy--------
Fabian------Deuce------Lando All of these guys can interchange positions
------Jones-----Bradley-----
Beasley---Besler----Gonzo----Cam
-----------Howard--------
3 subs: EJ, Iceman, Brooks
If the US is leading then the 3 subs will be: Beckerman, Brooks, EJ
Score line predictions: US 3 Costa Rica 0, US 2 Mexico 1. Getting 19 points and securing WC qualification and ultimately first place in the HEX with 2 games to go.

Woooa. 3-0 ?? Theres a better chance USA beats Mexico by that scoreline than CR.. Regardless I think USA wins both games.. 2/1 vs CR,, maybe 3 or 4-1 vs Mexico..

I think he will definitely start Jozy. If he doesnt start him and starts EJ instead, and we are down say we sub him at the half and he aggravates his injury then we lose 2 subs for 1 position. If we start him and he doesnt feel right we bring on EJ (which we were likely going to do in the 60-70th minute anyway) and dont lose that much.
Completely agree with 2tones lineup suggestion. Although if Brooks started over Omar I wouldnt be shocked (and I think Brooks should start but doubt JK will)

Why the hell hasn't Mexico fired Chep
I think Napoleon said it best when he said "never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake." The longer Chepo stays, the better our chances as there is clearly a problem there.
As far as predictions...2tone has the right lineups imo, but I think we will win (finally) at CR 2-1 (Johanson winner) and draw with Mexico 1-1

i think this is the best guess at line-up - with a chance that zusi retains his spot (with DMB out, fab moving back, LD on left) depending on how things look in training
here is how i would rank job security, in reverse order (least secure first), and guys looking to grab their spot (just in general, not for mexico game in particular):
- gonzo (brooks clearly eying a starting CB role)
- beasley (fab moves back if DMB falters)
- cameron (we all know the various RB options)
- besler (worth keeping in mind that besler has only 10 USMNT caps. still pretty raw)
- jones (not sure JK has ALL of the best alternatives in this camp)
- dempsey (AJ seems like a legit option to partner jozy if CD stumbles)
- donovan (finally back with full team, now has to secure his spot)
think MB, jozy and fabian have pretty good job security
This is what I'd like to see, although I'm sure Jones would get the spot over Cam. I'd also take a 4-4-2. It's getting harder for me to make line-ups with Deuce in them these days...

Line-up Predictions based on new info about Jozy:
CR:
EJ
Fabian Dempsey Donovan
Jones Bradley
Beasley Besler Brooks Cameron
Howard
I'm assuming Jones is out with another yellow for Mexico (is he on a yellow now or am I making that up?)
AJ comes off the bench in both games. With a solid showing, he could force JK to try a 4-4-2 next time around.

Your assumption is correct. Jones gets one more and he is out for a game.

wouldn't be surprised to see this against Mexico assuming Jones get his Yellow. (Although I hope he makes it mostly through the game and we're winning so we can put in Beckerman)
Jozy
Iceman Dempsey Donovan
Cameron Bradley
Beasley Besler Gonzales Fab
Howard
