There's a lot of talk today about US bids for the 2024 Olympics with DC expressing interest. The potential bid that really stands out to me besides DC is the rumor of San Diego and Tijuana putting forth a joint bid. That would also be something really special.

Other US cities expected to bid are LA, Philly and Tulsa. Have you guys ever been to Tulsa? Talk about needing to build infrastructure for the games, there is nothing there.

International cities that are rumored to bid include Paris, Rome and Doha.

I hope the US gets it so that we can watch Joshua Pynadath play on home soil!

Maybe then we would actually qualify for a youth soccer tournament.

Hmm no Chicago? Good for DC though. That San Diego/Tijuana joint bid sounds surprisingly strong. We'll see though.

I just saw on the news that the DC non-profit that is pushing for the DC bid is trying to get Baltimore to join them. On paper that's the obvious choice for the US Olympic committee but you never know when the Olympics are involved.
