Dempsey isn't equally adept at the CAM spot. Dempsey, at his best, is a solid poacher. I haven't seen him play well since Germany. Landon is one of the best play makers we have. He can play the wing but he disappears a lot. I've also noticed how predictable he's become on the wing

While I see what you're saying and can't say that you're wrong, especially LD disappearing on the wing, I still think he presents more of a threat out there than Bedoya does.

Dempsey's CAM role has generally played higher than a traditional CAM would in the attacking third, and he is really the only one we have tailored to that role, mostly because the system was in part based around him.

We should stick with what works for now but once those guys aren't in the picture anymore then we should change formation.

I think Johannsson would be a perfect signing for Borussia Dortmund to take Lewandowski's spot when he leaves.

Would not mind seeing boyd go back to Dortmund.. He was very impressive for the 2nd team.. I think he will be ready by the time the season finishes. Specially if he puts up monster numbers..

Both are too young and untested to move straight into that spot. They might pick up a player like AJ or Boyd, but they'd be spending most of that Lewandowski money on a 23-28 y/o with a proven history for a middle of the road team. While I would certainly classify AZ as a middle of the road team, AJ hasn't had the opportunity to prove for more than a season that he's able to deliver on a consistent basis.

Really to young and to untested? Lewandowski was 22 years old coming from Lech Poznan where he spent 2 years prior before going Dortmund. The Eredivisie is a much higher level of a proving ground versus the Polish first division. Johannsson is 22 going on 23.

Sure, but did he slide right into the starting spot (he may have, I really don't know much about him before last season)? I think it would be best for those two to stay at their respective teams for at least another season. Boyd I could see moving earlier, maybe this summer or next Jan., but it wouldn't to a team like BD.

I'm just going to throw this out there and see how it flies...IceBacon to Juventus!

I'd like him somewhere like Fulham. A solid mid table club that doesn't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon, that is if he were to go to the EPL. I'd rather him stay outside of England. Not that he can't succeed in England, just that not many Americans have in the striker department. I'd like him in France or perhaps midtable Germany.

Johannsson seems to have Germany written on him for me, not England.

Perhaps Hoffenheim. I believe it was you suggesting staying in the league could be beneficial. Maybe PSV or Ajax? I'd like that.

I thought it would be beneficial for Jozy to stay in the league at least one more year. Johannsson on the other hand should probably be in a much better league. Unlike Jozy Johansson has scored goals in multiple European leagues already. What I would call the second tier leagues i.e. Denmark's top flight and now the Eredivisie

I'm perfectly fine with anything as long as he is successful haha. I think that goes without saying. Either way I don't want him to move until after this summer. Given that he's just gotten his feet on the ground this season (at AZ) I don't see him going anywhere in the winter.

This is what I suggested. Stay in the league and prove you can do it over multiple seasons, but that way he will (likely) be playing CL football against great competition.
