Amazing goal. You would have to think he gets at least one start in these next two qualifiers. Dude is on a goal scoring tear. 10 goals in all comps and 4 goals in one week!

Still say Iceman is Dennis Bergkamp's heir. Both of their skillsets are so similar it's not even funny.

Whoa whoa whoa. That is a mighty large assumption. Do you mean in just their style of play, or how great of a player AJ will become, on the same level as Bergkamp? Because if AJ turns out to be half of what Bergkamp was, he would be a success. If he ends up being as good, he's the greatest American to ever play the game.

In both cases. Yes AJ has the tools to become a great striker. Time will only tell if he has the same success as Bergkamp.

Bergkamp is one of my favorite players of all time, so I am not making this comparison lightly. I see a lot of Bergkamp's qualities in AJ. Intelligence with and without the ball, great technique in finishing, very good dribbler, and a very good passer. And AJ's vision is immense, maybe on the same level as Donovan already.

Didnt watch the game but just saw the highlight. What a tremendous goal. Against PSV no less. I pray he starts one of these upcoming qualifiers.

AJ's goal total this season? Will he break Altidores goal total in all comps? He has 10 goals in 2 months in all comps which means he could conceivably have 20+ goals in all comps before the winter break in Holland if he keeps this torrid goal scoring pace going.

Here are my numbers:

Eredivise: 24

All comps: 35

Of course that all comps goal total is predicated on how far AZ go in both the KNVB Beker and Europa league.

The fact that Johannsson will fly on a plane makes him potentially better than Bergkamp.
