I wonder how this guy feels about Iceland's success and USA decline. I wonder if he feels he ultimately made the right decision. Granted he has not helped himself and has been unfortunate as well.

Question: If he can somehow stay healthy, find a place in his team and score regularly. Does he still have a future with the national team?

I still feel like if he is healthy and can find the right situation that he has something left to give to the Nats. I felt he was one of the more talented strikers in our player pool. At one point I rated him higher than Bobby Wood and Jozy.

In a perfect world a roster spot should be available to anyone who is playing for his club and playing better than anyone else in his position.

The answer should be yes, but football isn't perfect and you have to add that they can play within the system with the other players.

Haven't been on the site for awhile, honestly didn't plan on returning for a bit, though when Iceland qualified, I immediately felt some sadness for Kevin Bacon and figured I'd check in.

AJ personified chasing that American dream, really hope he gets healthy and scoring again for his own well being.

Don't believe Israel qualifies in 2022, but I pray Kenny Saief works out better. Really believe his injury, along with Brooks, Lletget, Morris, Gooch, Williams, and even Hyndman all set the stage for our demise.

Lastly, I do think the major positive of not qualifying is giving Pulisic a real rest.

Did I say anything about him changing to Iceland? I was asking if he feels he made a mistake.

It read like that. He needs to worry more about not getting on the pitch for a team that cannot score. I doubt if he were available to Iceland he would not be called up anyways.

Good to see Johannsson on the field and playing again. He had some good moments against Schalke. Had the hip pass that led to the game winner.
