Pretty upsetting that he was brought to the world cup with few injuries. He wasnt effective and could have had Boyd fill Jozy boots during his injuries. Oh well hope he can recover and start racking up goals again

Perhaps an injured Aj was still better than Boyd?

Well they have different playing styles. So neither one is better than the other. But I will say that Boyd was better option since Jozy got hurt then an injured Johansson in the system we played

Boyd was a better option than Jozy he was more fit and playing better. I bet he would of scored wayyy more goals than Jozy if he was at Sunderland.

I'm not going to say all that now... Jozy is a beast and put with the correct players around him he is damn near unstoppable. The fact that it has already come out that JK knew about AJ being injured during training makes it that much more easy to say that Boyd should have been there over AJ. Agudelo should have been picked over AJ at that point in time also.

Jk should honestly be made to sit in front of the media and see if he would like to reiterate the Donovan cut, and the exclusions of Boyd and Agedelo over an unfit AJ. If this is the model we will be playing under with JK in the coming years, it will be another Big Hype, Bigger Dissapointment for the fans of the USMNT...

Pele would've struggled at Sunderland last year. The service to the forwards was awful. However, it wasn't like Jozy was playing that great, either. He racked up the goals in an offensive-minded league like the Eredivisie and then struggled in a more defensive league.

Jesus. Let it go, people. World Cup is over, we made it out of a very tough group, and nearly made it to the quarterfinals. Why should Jurgen have to face an inquisition? If he does that, does he also have to sit in front of the media and talk about the CORRECT decisions he made? Because so many people seem to be incapable of accepting that Jurgen did some things CORRECTLY at the World Cup, too.

What would be the point of this? This would serve no purpose other than to make you feel better. There is no constructive criticism. All it would be is trying to make someone uncomfortable because you don't like them. I am all for constructive feedback if someone makes a mistake that way they can get better. Humiliation is not a way to improve things.

We are two months out of the World Cup. We lost. We are actually passed the time in my opinion of talking about what went wrong. This has been talked about ad nauseam. Now is the time to improve and to work toward 2018.

To get back on topic here I hate to hear that about Johannsson. Hopefully he can recover fully and get back to competing. We need all of our players pushing themselves on the field and improving.

Ahhh nothing better than the JK selections circle jerk.

Nevertheless Aron should be fine. Let him rest up and he will be back.

Hahaha Lmao Ohh Mann good laugh. Pele would of struggle and yet he would of managed to score 20 goals or more. Maradona would of gotten 30 goals for sunderland and carry them to a top 5 finish. He did it with napoli they were second division no one knew who they were and maradona took them to promotion and Serie A champions, uefa champs in matter of a couple years. Maradona in his prime would make sunderland epl champions in a couple years.

This is a ridiculous statement. You really think that if say, Messi, were to sign with Sunderland, that they would be EPL championship contenders? This isn't the NBA, where adding a Lebron can make you a championship contender. Only 5 players are on the court at a time. If you add one superstar to a terribly mediocre team like Sunderland, it won't make them championship contenders. Sure, it'll definitely make them better. Substantially. But THAT much better? Absolutely not.

Maradona is better than Messi!! And yes with messi right now they would finish in the top 5 at least. Napoli was worse than sunderland they were in 2nd division. Is like putting maradona in huddersfield and they get promoted and win the Epl in a couple years, they even retired the #10 in napoli he literally single handidly put them in the map. Can't say the same about Pele because he never played in Europe.

Anyways how the Hell did the johansson thread turn into maradona, Pele, sunderland etc lol.
