Dude I was calling for Andrew Jean Baptiste for the U-23 backline when none of you knew who he was !

Naw man majority of you were saying Johannsson would chose Iceland...

Delusional. Yeah, no one knows a 1st round pick (8th pick overall). No one on here that I remember said that Aron would play for Iceland.

none of you were calling for him to be on the roster.....

all of you were content with the U-20 roster and i said they were too short and would get bossed? Exactly what happened

They didn't get bossed because they were too short, they got bossed because they are playing other U20s that are professional footballers, not academy/college kids with sprinkled professional players. Having Torre and Ocegueda on the left side was a big letdown. O'Neill is a solid CB, and Stanko played well.....having Baptiste wouldn't have made a difference.

Agree with usnlfan.. Uruguay were shorter than usa on avarage and made the finals, lost on,penalties.. Size,, strenght has nothing to do with soccer, only in nfl and nba.. The best player in the world is like 150 pounds and 5"6...

I know this stings, but over the last week, the United States has picked up Aron Johannsson & John Anthony Brooks. No matter what, that's a huge pair of wins in the dual national department

Yea and both JAB and Aron looked like long shots at various points not that long ago... I can easily see Julian Green coming back to the USMNT in a couple of years. Its just very tough to stay in the German picture and at least we are already in his head and he knows we are around. Also there is a lot more politics when it comes to getting on the larger national teams so we still have a solid chance IMO

I distinctly plenty of threads where we at least mentioned how the Zimmerman snub was a travesty and all that, there were more than a few people that had something to say about that team...

A positive spin on this is maybe it pushes Parker onto us.

He is NOT a first team player at Bayern. The friendlies allowed for far more subs than the Bundesliga does. He will play with the reserve team this year.

Julian Green is promising but a couple preseason games doesn't mean he will be playing with the first team, Like Bshredder said we should be happy with Brooks and Aron. I'm not sweating over Green, he would be nice to have but its not the end of the world.

Agree i dont see green jumping on to the first team now maybe later in the season if he is tearing up the reserve league, but maybe games like dfb pokal, champs league 2nd,legs when their up likr 4,5,6 goals.. Boyd made the bench for dortmund but never saw action. Also barring injuries to theor attakers i dont see him getting there.. Maybe next year he could most likely make the jump to the first team.. Another thing after thr world cup in brazil i would love to see 16,17,18,19 yr olds called to the full senior squad for friendlies, we cant now because of the upcoming wc.. Jozy 17 and scored, adu like 16, landon, 18, ej ext....

This has no impact on our immediate future... Additionally, I'm pretty sure all of our German-Americans except Boyd were playing for the German setup when they were Julian's age so we're still in fine shape.

Like BShred said, let them get Germany out of their system. As long as they know we're ready to have them whenever they're ready we'll get plenty of quality dual nationals because the probability of the majority of them making it to Die Mannschaft is actually slim to none.

Yup thats the sentence there are probably over 1000 german american/african countries/polish/turkish/yugoslavia/ext... soccer players playing in germany or abroad, that could play for thrm but as many find out they cant they go to their second choice/ left over as many say... just so they could get noticed/ maybe advertised..

"Requirements to get on U.S. national team under Klinsmann: Be a fake American, be born outside the U.S., have one U.S. distant relative," Zimmerman wrote. "I see the team is calling in guys who are really Germans who know they've got no chance of playing for Germany so they'll settle with the U.S. That's embarrassing when a good friend of mine says he met one of the guys at the airport and he couldn't reply back in English as U.S. national (team) player."

Lol what a quote til this day is true "COME ON USA PRODUCE YOUR OWN PLAYERS LOL"

I know ima get bashed but an american soccer player that doesnt speak english which is true, i bet brooks, green, also jones dont speak it, is an absolute embarrassment.. If some are desperate i understand...
