LA loses 3-1, but Villarreal continues to show the talent he has with a stunning goal. Was LA's best player on the night as well. He took on players and opened up space for his teammates.

Zardes started strong at winger but faded as the game wore on.

I like Villarreal more as a withdrawn FWD/CAM.

It's to bad he went into that U-20 WC lacking a bit of confidence.

Mcbean still a tad slow mentally and physically.

Some good moments of possession for LA, but lacked a creative edge to their game at times.

Real Madrid's goals came from slick counter-attacks.

Anyone else think Eric Wynalda sounds like "Quagmire" from family guy?

Giggity giggity alright !

Hilarious when Robbie Rogers fell on the ground with possession and he said "whats he doing"

I need to stop watching these games. So many MLS players piss me off. Boils my blood when the players are too scared to go forward...... Why in the hell are players so scared to go at the opponent. These guys weigh 150 lbs

I can't stand Sean Franklin, dunivant, and De la garza.

Charlie Rugg, what a let down at the end man.

Yeah, I watched the game. Villarreal was very impressive to watch. He looked very confident, don't know why he couldn't play like that against Ghana though.

kinda fell asleep right after Villreal's goal...thought LA had a good showing though, considering that even though the megastars weren't there for RM, it was a very solid and competitive team that pressed the ball at all times.

Think Zardes faded because he put in some serious distance in the match last night. He dropped back on defense every single RM attack and also attempted to play as high as possible. I very much enjoyed watching him play and think he was one of the better LA players last night.

Great goal by Villareal last night, very well taken.
