Don't know if this topic has been covered already, didn't find it in the Locker Room. So, if it has, my apologies.
Looks like another Germerican has been discovered, and he has been promoted to I believe Hoffenheims senior squad. He play's LB, and from what I hear he has a bright future at the position.
He has played for Germany's U-19 team.
His father is American.
Some fans are already clamoring for him.
All I have to say is look out the rest of the world because the US is coming for your Dual National players. Hahahahaha, it's so true.

Meh....France has been doing for 20 plus years since I've watched them, as has Germany to a lesser extent.

Who in the world would look for it in that section?

Didn't say it was a bad thing or a good thing. It is what it is in today's modern, global football.

This kid has a ton of potential and ridiculous wheels on top of that. He's really been holding his own at LB throughout the preseason. Still he's only 19, so I'd imagine he might go back to the U21s or U23s once the season commences.
Also worth noting, he apparently is eligible for Croatia in addition to US & Germany. He's appeared for Germany in the 2011 U17 Euros so he'd have to file the 1 time-switch, I believe.

He will be the staring lb for hoffenheim... His amazingly electric.. currently i would take him over fabian or beasley or castillo.at lb. This kid is phenomenal.. Anothere potential sub 20 dubbed.
Toljan has competition for the position with Stefan Thesker and maybe Fabian depending on where the manager decides to utilize him.
But you'd take an unproven, untested 19yr old at LB over Fabian (who has 76 matches under his belt with Wolfsburg & Hoffenheim)? Why?
Castillo plays no defense so thats understandable.

I don't go looking in the Germany section. I haven't started one topic in the German section. So what does that tell you? That I never go to the German section.
I have posted about those players because I have seen the thread on the main page, not because I go looking in the German section.
Is this really that big of a deal?

Completely agree. Maybe if in Feb Hoff is squarely mid table with no relegation possibliity and no europe possibility they'll start giving him minutes. But not to start the season
