Ready to watch him play today. Hope he scores a hat trick and on the third goal, which will be a bicycle kick, he will rip off his jersey and have a USA jersey underneath and he just points at the crest to the camera. OH MY IMAGINATION.

I am just excited about him taking Terrence Boyd's spot. Much calmer player Aron.

Aron Johannsson starting today for AZ.

Who was saying he was a bench player for Alkmaar again?

1-1 AZ has tied it up. Aron with the assist.

Ugh, the AZ keeper has been horrid today. Poor block deflection results in a fairly easy goal. Down 2-1 now.

Good to see he grabbed a goal. The absence of Maher (and obviously Jozy) is glaring. They don't have that spark in the offensive third they need. And yes, Esteban was awful - horrible decision making on several occasions didn't help either.

AZ lose 4-2, but Johannsson registered a goal and an assist.

Goal + Assist in a match where he was constantly chasing for the ball is a great result. Back towards goal if we're speaking honestly, his touch was heavy at times.

His early flick on header though should have resulted in a goal, very well should have had an assist there.

This is the process of ups and downs that many Dutch teams experience while regenerating the talent pool through efficient signings and the youth team. Aron will hang tough and catch a bigger club's eye in good time. If he keeps progressing I'd love to see what he could do at Ajax. That seems like a good fit especially with the weapons they've got

AZ will prob stay around the same place as last season. Too much key changes will harm any chances of making noise. Im just happy Aron went to AZ because that managers knows how to make strikers even better and more confident. I mean look at Jozy he went from being a kid that couldnt score to save his life to a man that came second in Eredivise and tied American record for scoring 3 times in a row in qualifiers.

I agree AZ will stay around where they were last year, reason their in Europa league is because they won the Dutch cup.. I think Aron will put up big numbers around 20-30 goals in all competitions..
