Ham - I get what you're saying, I'm just more than a little anxious to see who will fill the LD void for that timely moment of brilliance that can turn a game...or a player other than MB that can link easily with other players, especially in the attacking third. My biggest fear is that we're going to take a noticeable dip in continuity and combo play up field. Like you say, we need to see what it looks like with the group over the next three games...I'm thinking Turkey and Nigeria probably give us a better indication where we stand.

Jozy Altidore is more than due to score, he's the first person I would look to. Show everyone in the world what you are made of.

What can Chandler or Yedlin provide in the midfield areas and farther forward than that, because that is their role. Otherwise JK goes defensive in that spot.

Interesting you say that, when Fabian Johnson has been practicing in camp almost exclusively as a RB apparently.....well now...

Yep. Fabian has said that he has exclusively been playing at RB in camp. Why in the world did Klinsmann add both Chandler and Yedlin?

Right now I have no idea what and who will be in the starting 11 against Azerbaijan except Howard and Dempsey.

Klinsmann has also stated that we will see a fit and dedicated Timmy Chandler at the WC. This either means Chandler is playing LB or Chandler is getting moved up to winger if Fabian is indeed the RB.

Apparently Chandler has been seeing time at left back along with right back. Fabian relevation is surprising. The relevation that evans was used exclusively at center back during camp was a head scratcher. Bedoya has been used all over the field. Besler is confirmed as one of the starting centerbacks he has partnered with all of the cbs during the camp. Yedlin might be looked at for winger who knows whats going on in klinsmanns head. At this point im convinced klinsmann is using astrology and raymond domenech to pick his lineups and for his player selections.

Wow he is just playing scramble with our line ups? Why not just make Bradley a striker while were at it? Make Jozy a defender since he is strong...
All joking aside now he is experimenting? I believe in the team but Jurgen just makes you doubt him and then spring back into confidence. Only positive is that our rivals scouts wont be able to know what to scout because we as fans dont have a clue what going to be on that line up for ghana. Forget Projected line up.

Well that was disturbing! How many players were pondering what the hell they were doing there?

Klinsmann has ripped the heart out of 90% of US fans. I will never forgive him for this. I can't. Ever. I'll always hate him. I'll still love the team, of course, and I hope they make it through the group by some miracle.

He'll try to make amends somehow after the WC since he's now realized what a huge PR mistake he made, maybe selecting Lando for the Gold Cup. Lando will accept of course, but it will be a horrible, horrible end to an unbelievable career. Every soccer fan in the world knows who Landon Donovan is. Everyone.

And he's still got it. At least, well within our best 20 field players. I've watched every game of his w/ the Galaxy this year. It's a myth that he's been mediocre.

The ASN Top 100 has Donovan ranked #6 in the May update and #2 in the March update. I think that's quite telling of what a mind blowing decision Klinsmann made.

@TheTruth I bet if you ask Klinsmann he would admit Landon is one of the best 23 players. But he needs players to fit what he's trying to do. Quite frankly, the guy took a break from soccer during the middle of WCQ and hasn't been the same since he came back. So screw him. We didn't need him to qualify. We don't need him at the WC. What do you think Real Madrid would say if Ronaldo wanted to take a sabbatical? Oh yea.. he wouldn't...

Yeah Donovan shouldn't get a pass in all of this. Yeah it sucks he won't be at the WC. But c'mon the guy bailed on the US team when he took his sabbatical.

We all live to much in the past sometimes.

I am excited to see what the team can accomplish. It's still a very exciting and explosive team. Really excited for tomorrow.
