Yeah, Evans defending is what you would expect from a player that "doesn't" play in defense.

For me the RB's/LB's are Chandler, Cameron(CB, RB, DM), Beas, and Fabian.

And it was a PK. He clattered right into the back of Perez.

I believe he did an honorable job during the qualifiers but i think this is the line for him. He should have known that Blas Perez falls as fast as a brick in contact.

Chandler has a lot of work to do besides proving his knee health. I wouldn't be upset if he proved that worth in 2015-16 as we move "into the future". At present I worry about Timmy and the whole circus surrounding him.

*** I thought he was one of the best RBs I've seen play for the USMNT (obviously he doesnt have the mental reps and experience of Dolo) in his appearance or two before the Honduras game. Best crosser in the USMNT pool... However, he needs to start again at zero with everyone in the camp, and now may not be the best time for that.

* If he is 100% healthy and the team accepts him, I would send him to Brazil as well.

Yes, this is what I've been expecting to eventually unfold and it has now become pretty clear. Last thing Chandler needs to do is just come to camp and kiss the ring. Shouldn't be a problem.

Looking more likely Danny Williams will miss the WC 30 man roster altogether with his lingering knee problems.

New 30 man roster:

GK: Rimando, Guzan, Howard

Defense: Chandler, Cameron, Parkhurst, Evans, Beas, Fabian, Gonzo, Goodson, Ream, Brooks, Besler

CM's: Bradley, Jones, Beckerman, Edu, Diskerud

Attackers: Deuce, Lando, Zusi, Wondo, Boyd, Altidore, AJ, Green, Bedoya, Agudelo, Davis

Called in to training in an unofficial capacity Zelalem. I would like to see it.

Gonzo may well get cut due to his knee injury. He won't be able to train as hard as the other guys in camp for two weeks. I could see a Brooks or Ream take his spot.

Has there been any confirmation that Zelalem secured citizenship last weekend? If so, I agree, bring him into camp in an unofficial capacity, ala Michael Bradley in 2006.

Poor Danny. But I think Gonzalez will be fine. No way he gets cut out from a minor knee injury

Maybe, maybe not. I have a feeling his injury is a tad more serious than what is to be believed.

The USMNT medical staff will evaluate him immediately when he gets to camp. I will say this: do you want a CB in Gonzo stymied with injury through WC camp and barely fit enough in time for the WC, or a CB that is healthy, practiced hard in camp, and is in good fitness? Medical staffs differ. just because the Galaxy medical staff said he will likely be good to go in two weeks doesn't mean the USMNT medical staff will have the same prognosis.

I guess it will all come down to what Klinsmann feels is best for the USMNT.

I precautionary, As a matter of fact if the WC was like 3-4 months away he would play this Sunday. But since the WC is around the corner he will take 2 weeks of rest.

Exactly two weeks of rest while other players are playing and training everyday. Don't say it's a fact he would be playing this weekend when you really don't know that for sure.

I am not saying he won't be in the final 23, but I won't be surprised if he isn't. This is an opening for the other CB's that get called in.

I'm really bummed to hear about Williams. That probably means they'll look to Mo, which doesn't excite me at all. I'm throwing convention out the window and bringing in Trapp...I'm only half joking, I'd take Trapp over Mo in a heartbeat. WC experience be damned, if MO is coughing the ball up every two seconds against WC comp, how beneficial is that experience. Maybe if they bring in Ream, he might be able to give us some minutes at Dmid.

I think Arena is soft pedaling Omar's situation. I can't think of any knee issue that would completely disappear within two weeks...even a hyperextension could take 3-4 weeks to get back to 100%. He really is going to fall behind the group. We'll know it's a potential problem if they bring in an additional CB...I'm assuming Brooks makes the 30, but maybe we see Orozco also.

Well It looks like Brooks shot himself in the foot with that first half against Dortmund. Let two goals in.
