I never really liked a Bradley, Jones pairing never really impressed. Wouldnt mind Dempsey pairing up with bradleu in a 4 4 2, with Donovan, zusi/Fabian at wings, jozy, Aaron up top. With Beasley/Fabian, besler, Gonzo, Cameron/Chandler in the backline.

Duece doesn't play enough defense for that imo.

Dempsey Holds the ball really well and can play decent defense. But we all know is going to be Bradley, and Jones.

He does hold the ball well it just doesn't seem like he likes tracking back very much. But yeah, it's prolly just about too late to try anything that new barring an injury anyway.

Go to the question on the bottom of the page about the door being open. Sort of sounds like JK has Chandler in his plans still.

I was surprised he mentioned actual names I needed to hear ie. Chandler, Williams, Ream & Gooch. Nearly spat out the coffee I was drinking.

I am not surprised Klinsmann still has Chandler in his plans. The guy has been in red hot form for the past few months.

I think Klinsmans greatest issue that he will have is filtering out those few players like Chandler who have recently come to form and are striving for a spot on the WC roster. Which ones will continue to give that dedication after or if they are chosen.

This is the furthest thing from an issue for JK. When he selects his players its the beginning of June. By then the players are either in form or not. Then its world cup time. There's not enough time to lose dedication

You say that now but I think Jozy and Clint are perfect examples of guys who can slack off and lose form in a matter of weeks . Klinsman is dealing with a bunch of guys who have never been in an legitimate tournament in their lives with exception to the seasoned vets. They can either get to too confidante or get really uncomfortable and lose everything they thought they had.

I agree that JK wants to ensure maximum competitiveness across the squad even into the WC. That is the environment from which he comes, and that is the environment and atmosphere that nearly always surrounds and emanates from the top nations when they perform their best at big tournaments like the Euros and the WC.

No one should be resting on their laurels. Track record gives one standing, but ultimately, one has to earn it one ball at a time.

uh huh....well I would be concerned if I had a bunch of players with a history of laziness, excuse making or just not showing any sort of dedication. Donavon, EJ, Jozy Demps, Jones, Chandler etc... Agree or disagree I dont care but I have seen it in the past two WC's from certain players and I would prefer not to have to see it anymore.

I just cant see this being a concern. Your going to tell me that after the club season ends and JK picks his 23 players to perform in the biggest sporting event in the world, in front of the biggest audiences in the world, with the chance to make millions and millions of dollars in a future transfer if you perform that they arent going to be able to stay in top form for those couple of weeks? That would be like saying that once a team makes the super bowl there players will shut it down. It just seems like this would have a 0.00001% impact on any team

I would like our starting lineup to look something like this:

Altidore
Donovan
Jonhosn Bradley Jones Bedoya
Beasley Besler Gonzo Cameroon
Howard

Now Dempsey if he returns to form starts in Donovan's spot, Donovan goes into Johnson's etc... but this wont happen unless Klinsy realizes, which I think he will, that Dempsey is no longer hungry in game in and game out, and while u might say well he will be pumped for the WC, u cant just turn it on and off easily. Jones starts because we are gonna have to play defensively. Offensive subs might be Dempsey for bedoya and going two strikers maybe Johanson for Altidore and Agudelo for Johnson and again pushing the formation around to let agudelo play up top. Defensive subs would be Evans for Bedoya Beckerman for Jones (probs on a yellow) Diskerud for donovan... EJ for Altidore (defensive headers) .... idk this just my thoughts i just believe that we need to see some youngsters have their chance whether as subs or starters and that mgiht include not starting dempsey or donovan and right now donovan is better maybe not come wc time, but i doubt donovan is our best player we have still....
