Gil isn't ready for the pressure yet. Rather have a steely veteran like Beckerman.

Well, I'm going to guess that you're the only guy here that wants Beckerman to go to Brazil. Yikes.

Probably one of the 1-2 only ones. The issue is that the World Cup is an ultimate pressure cooker. Beckerman provides calm and excellant pure DM abilities. Thats just something no one else in player pool can provide. Obviously he is slow. But there exists scenarios in 2nd half where you need to maintain a lead and throw him in with fresh legs. Gil will fold under the pressure, the kid couldn't even take a PK in a calm non-awkward manner in a youth WC.

Beckerman is not meant to be a starter, he is just meant to be a different tactic. Williams is still too inconsistent for me. Edu doesn't play.

No matter the above, Beckerman is going to Brazil because he is a Jurgen fav.

I don't know whether Beckerman makes my final 23 but if not he's one of the last cuts. Like Navi said, he's the one CM that prefers to play more as a destroyer. All of the others like to get forward. He brings a different dimension to the pool and has been very good over the past year.

I would love to have Beckereman on the final roster cause he is like the only pure defensive mid we got. I'm pretty sure Gil will make the final roster as well.

JK's starting XI if World Cup was tomorrow:

------Altidore

Fabian--Dempsey--Donovan

----Jones---Bradley--

Beasley(?)-Besler-Gonzo-Cameron

It could be a lot worse. Other than Beasley, this team has as good a chance as any. Personally I'd put Chandler at LB

Let's be realistic, USA does have a chance but it us a small one... Let's not put to much expectation on our team. Don't get me wrong, the US is a good team, but to go against Ghana, don't care what nobody says they have beaten us in each World Cup, whether it is under 20 or the actual tournament.... They are the strongest team in Africa besides Ivory Coast. Portugal is a very good team, people need to stop assuming it's a one man show. With a good strong back line, with a Pepe whose a douche but good player. Of course Ronaldo, let's not forget this guy pulls own plays, and takes dangerous shots where ever he is at. Won't even mention Germany, they're a machine that can't be stopped unless your a powerhouse

Of course USA has a chance. all 32 teams in the world cup have a chance to get out of group stage just that some teams have better chances. I cant wait for this WC i think is gonna the best year of upsets.

I wouldn't mind it. I certainly wouldn't say JK is mental and should be fired like I'm sure a few here would. As I have said before Beckerman takes alot of undeserved hate. If he goes I think he should be an emergency option only. But I wouldn't renounce US Soccer and JK if he went to Brazil.

Dempsey's Ballon d'Or ballot: 1. Ronaldo, 2. Messi, 3. Ibra

Klinsmann's Ballon d'Or ballot: 1. Ribery, 2. Bale, 3. Falcao

And we wonder why people think Beckerman and Evans will be included, and possibly start, in Brazil.

Disclaimer: This isn't meant to be a seious post, but its interesting. So please dont go all pro-Klinsmann on me, as I am neither for or against him.

My Balon d'Or ballot: 1. Howard, 2. Donovan, 3. Johannsson. To bad none of them won. Oh well, there is always next year.

I don't really care about the Ballon d'Or.
