I'm sorry I can't go for that. When Lee Cattermole is trying to tear dudes ACLs and Craig Gardner only wants to score penalties, I'll side with Jozy. The battle starts in the midfield and Sunderland is just lacking in that department.

One thing we cant argue is if Jozy is given the space or time he is a magnificent finisher. Think of it like this. How many real goal scoring chances has Jozy gotten with sunderland in run of play?
1 disallowed goal and 1 goal against Chelsea.

The thing that was most impressive about Jozy's goal yesterday was that he had NO space to make that turn and finish, but he did it anyway. That's the first time I recall him ever being able to do that. Hopefully it's a new trick in his back because the EPL teams have his number by marking him closely and not giving him the space he likes.

Absolutely he made J Terry look like he wasnt there. Thats the things Jozy will have to learn in order to succeed in EPL. In fact ill generalize it even more. Thats what separates good EPL strikers and Decent EPL strikers . Jozy will have to work hard in that training pitch and ask Fetcher for any pointers. But Jozy in the national has that space because are players have more quality than sunderland. It isnt just Jozy vs 2 CB unlike in sunderland. Thats why he score alot for us. More support of course

Jozy's quick, in tight, two touch and spin for that finish was awesome. John Terry's face was like what just happened.

Good to see Jozy playing hard and scoring. Beautiful finish on his goal.

For him to consistently sustain and demonstrate such form, (and continue to earn the right to start for club and country) he has to keep himself fully engaged and concentrated mentally and physically throughout entire matches. Too often he has had tendencies to go missing in action.

Granted, thus far, Sunderland has been a tough gig for him. Nonetheless, as the old adage goes: "When the going gets tough, the tough get going."

When he is not getting good or sometimes even any service, he has to track back and find the ball and the game. Learn to make his on pitch presence and time felt in positive contributions however the circumstances of the match are unfolding.

He has good size, speed, and strength that he can really bring to bear if he improves his first touch, and learns to let the ball run across his body more often so that he can better utilize his speed on the attack.

If he ups his game near where his potential seems to indicate he could, his ceiling could be very high. Much remains to be seen.

Poyet on Jozy

The manager said: "I am sure that a few of them (the fans) were not happy with me before the game, and then they say, 'Maybe he was right'.
"For decision to go right, you need the player. I can make 100 decisions, but it's up to the player then to make that decision right.
"He needed to play, it was the time I needed to make a decision. He didn't play in the previous two or three and I thought it was the right game for him. I am happy that I was right."

jozy being a complete player laying off well, playing one touch pass and passing to the wing plays.

Although his anger is getting on my nerves at times, Altidore was very instrumental in a solid team goal. Hope they can hold the result.

a really good half from Jozy splaying passes all over the field. Looks good playing as the 2nd striker.

Jozy showing another side of his game. Playing primarily as a playmaker.

He is having a really good game.

Jozy is a lot quicker than he's given credit for. In terms of FIFA video games at least heh...
