A win against Man City probably means less minutes for Jozy, seems like Poyet will stick to this formation with Fletcher up top for the next game IMO.

It's enough already, Johanssen is the current No.1 striker for USMNT. His whole prof career been on fire. Continues today. Why should I bias toward Jozy?

Poyet will rotate Fletcher and Jozy when he wants to be in a defensive formation.

And why would a win against Man City mean less minutes for Jozy? Poyet has praised Jozy. I didn't see anything from Fletcher to suggest he is the unquestioned starter.

Jozy will get plenty of starts and minutes.

But yes Johannsson is putting pressure on Jozy for the USMNT. But, I think Klisnmann will continue to experiment with a two striker formation.

Nah he played all 90 midweek. He needed rest. I think he'll start alot more for Poyet.

Jozy played 90 for sunderland midweek. He was gonna rotate him regardless unless he finds a clear cut option to deploy

Why would you cut Jozy out of the USMNT starting 11 and not Dempsey? Jozy has been on fire for the Yanks, it'd be hard to not start him when he's proven he was just as effective at AZ as Johansson has been, and Deuce's form has been pretty poor too. I'm a big Dempsey fan, but Jozy and Johansson seems to be the way to go for the USMNT right now

I don't think Jozy and AJ showed any sort of synergy. Sure these are friendlies, we can try it out again, but I am not thrilled by a 2 striker setup for us.

Fair point. I'm very split on this topic, but Demp in the lineup for big games feels right to me, he has a knack for big goals. Plus, he's pretty much the only USMNT starter that is willing (or selfish enough possibly?) to rip shots from 20+ yds, which keeps defenders and goalies on their toes (ex. his goal against England in the last WC). I was more or less playing devils advocate. IMO, for now I like Jozy starting and Johansson coming in off the bench to provide extra firepower, but I could be swayed if Aron impresses in the upcoming friendlies and if Jozy looks flat.

Just an opinion, though, I can see how one would feel differently given Aron's current run of form

I think so far he sees them as equals and will probably be rotating them in a single striker system. We'll see what the buzz is come Christmas time about what his transfer plans are...there's probably going to be at least 5 players shopped around to make room for anyone Gus is trying to bring in but from everything I've read so far Jozy isn't going to be one of them.

Altidore on the bench. Goeff Cameron starts for Stoke. Brek is on the bench.

Wow amazing skill from Cameron! Great chance created. Shea might play after seeing what kind of impact player he could be in the international game. Regardleaa we know our clear RB at the moment!
