speechless ... I cant blame those sunderland fans for being mad! This team is so shit, its like they didnt give a fuck what West Brom did. West Brom in the other hand kept putting pressure on the Sunderland Half and shut them down offensively. West Brom clear deserved win, but this Sunderland "team" is not even a team. As for why they sold Sessegnon, according to the announcers is because Di Canio wasnt "impressed" by him. Idk what the fuk that means but he was you only creative player and you sell him, well now your team has how many goals? 2 in 5 matches? truly a pathetic manager. Why did he start Borini is out of my comprehension he is terrible as well

They were hapless but a few things:

1. 5 games in, they look horrible. But there 's the thing... 5 games.

2. 1 or 2 wins would put them right back in that 10-15 range.

3. They have Liverpool and United at home. Very tough games but they need results.

Here is the real question. Will Jozy Altidore be the starting striker for the USMNT in the WC?

I could see Aron Johannsson or EJ passing him this year if his and Sunderlands struggles continue.

It will also be quite interesting if Agudelo has instant success and impact for Stoke City once he is there.

Altidore could be in for a long year for club and country.

Like I said before, I guarantee they will be relegated... I bet they will also be mid to bottom in the table if they were in mls.. They are an awful soccer team to watch... Chivas USA looks better.... They need major changes for January transfer window even if it means getting rid of altidore..

I understand it's only 5 games into the league. But they are looking worst and worst as they keep playing more matches. I see that Sunderland bought 14 new players but they arent improving at all. To early to judge anything but too frustrating to see as a Jozy fan. We all want him to do well right but at this situation atm it doesnt look good. They need a creative mid or nothing will change.

That team absolutely sucks.. Is like they get worst every game.. Im shock they have 1 pt.. Maybe the refs helped them get that tie.. I hate to say it but they might end up being one of the Worst Teams in Epl History...

When you bring in a completely new team you need a couple weeks to gel. Theyve been playing together for less than 2 months. Remember how pathetic the USMNT looked at the beginning? 10 games later they became a juggernaut. Sunderland just needs time. They have quality players, just need to morph into a quality team

I hope your 100% right MSantoine! But remember not everyone can pull of a Jurgen or anything he does.

Still don't think they will get relegated. And if Jozy can finish around 10 goals in all competitions then whatever it's fine for Brazil. There will be plenty of friendlies before the WC starts.
If you don't love it, leave it, USA #1

problem is they need a manager to get them to gel. They have a preseason for a reason. If he hasn't got them playing as a team already then he needs to go. Other teams brought in many new players and you don't see them struggling!

Hard to take people's comments seriously when they misuse "worst" instead of "worse." Come on, guys.

Also Id like to point out that it does NOT matter if Sunderland get relegated. After this current season is the world cup so regardless of team success if Jozy keeps his lineup spot he'll have played a full season of EPL in the run up to the world cup. Thats all that matters. Then after the world cup even if hes in the Championship League he has 2-3 years before an important USMNT game (Im not counting the 2015 gold cup yet)

A big question for U.S. fans heading into the World Cup is surely on Jozy Altidore and just what is plaguing the young striker at Sunderland.
