The ruling has been handed down and Klisnmann has been suspended for the game. Martin Vazquez will be in charge with Andreas Hertzog being the assistant coach. Didnt want this to happen but unfortunately it is what it is. Honduras tries to murder half our team coach gets very frustrated and loses his cool. Hopefully everything works out and we dont need klinsmann on the bench but it does worry me Klinsmann is very good at motivating his players to keep attacking during the game.

It will be fine. Klinsmann will be motivating from the stands.
Hertzog will be the one motivating because Vasquez is to laid back to be that kind of coach. Really I forsee Hertzog being the defacto coach anyways.

Why was Keller on the bench last game? I thought he worked for ESPN?

Keller works for ESPN, commentates for Sounders FC, and has been an assistant for the USMNT and the U-20's. I think Keller is testing the waters a bit before he makes a firm decision on what he wants to do. He has also stated that he would like to be in a executive position with MLS.

Should FIFA Confederations adopt a naming and shaming points table style ranking system for the refs? I know that they keep track of refs and try to invite the best ones to the World Cup and yet many still seem to be horrible.
I would love to see a publicly accessible table that sends a positive message to refs that get it right and puts pressure on poor performing refs to get their act together. They could even have a relegation system whereby the worst performing refs are no longer allowed to handle internationals.
Refs make bad calls in all sports but in soccer a bad call can ruin the entire game. I would love to see more done to try and minimize this.

Herzog will be the coach. Vasquez will still make his tactical changes and write on his little paper slips but Herzog will be the one on the touchline motivating and pushing the tempo.

Great Tweet.

CONCACAF determined Klinsmann threw a ball in "violent" fashion. So, an elbow to the face=not violent. A ball bounced to the ground=violent?

This is such a non-story. He still is picking the lineup and Im sure he's gone over situations with the coaches on how to sub if up, down, or tied in the 2nd half. Players shouldnt need motivation with a championship on the line
