I'm wondering if Honduras will realize what the other teams apparently never figured out. Pay much more attention, I mean A LOT more attention to LD and make his life miserable. I'm surprised he hasn't been targeted yet with some very tight physical play. For the most part it all flows through him, either setting up goals or scoring them. I think Honduras will figure it out, and make someone else try to beat them.

With that in mind, I'd like to see LD out of the middle out wide at RM with, gasp, EJ and Wondow up top. Not the best pairing as far as chemistry, but both are good in the air and can bang a bit. They have to respect EJ's speed up top and that should open up space for Wondow and LD cutting in from the outside. I like EJ and his pace more as the point occupying the CB or stretching the field with Wondow shading underneath to combine with LD

JK will throw Omar into the frying pan again- a bit of a gamble-hope he comes through.

I like your lineup however I actually think diskerud should start instead of holden mixx has looked better then holden has. Until holden is 100 percent I still think mixx at this point in time should be in the starting 11. Ej wondo combo would be intresting however I think corona had one of his better games when landon was on the right wing. Corona playing as a central attacking midfielder looked very comfortable against el salvador. I think wondo should get dropped he didnt look good against el salvador or costa rica his 5 goals were against minnows of concacaf ever since he hasnt been able to do much.

Ej should be up top where he can do the most damage. I will actually start beckerman mixx and beckerman are getting some good chemistry together I think holden and shea could be a very effective subs if the game is close or the us needs to attack honduras. I actually think torres stays at left midfield our team should only have gonzo and ej enter the starting lineup. Although I do like how goodson has played but if you are calling up gonzo you have to start him.

Part of the reason teams arent lining up on Lando is that Corona and Torres cut inside and let LD run down the wing. That flexibility and fluidity in the lineup is awesome to have. Also Corona and Mixx have arguably been our top players, with Lando. I dont know why youd want to take them off the field.

Apparently with how bad the field is at Cowboys Stadium it seems unlikely Holden is going to even play against Honduras. Of course its just speculation but JK didn't play him on Portland's turf because of knees which was actually really nice field. But this is the semifinals so who knows.

This is going to be interesting. I think Beckerman will have a rough game against Honduras. He's been lucky playing against bad competition all tournament. But its not as clear cut to have Holden come on if nec. because of the playing conditions and his knee. Worst case, bring Shea in and move Torres to CM. Not a terrible thing.

The reason teams cant play tight on Landon is because he's been playing the CAM role, albeit more as a forward than a midfielder. But he has the freedom to roam from touchline to touchline which makes it very difficult to keep a guy on him.
