Not an American....
He family was in the process a long time ago but then moved abroad (which almost always kills the citizenship process).
The odds of him becoming an American citizen while living abroad is slim to none.

You're the version of Yoda when he first met luke on dagobah.
give the kid a break, he's a newbie. I was all over the dual national hype train (and still am) when i first started posting. Besides there needs to be a better way to locate a thread.

Kinda sucks he learned his game in the US in our youth systems and played for the us u15 team. Arsenal come along and snap him up and he just forgets the country that built him and gave him opportunities...
If he plays well for arsenal Germany will be saying "thanks America"...

He is not a US citizen, so it doesn't matter.

Jones played for Germany's U21 squad. Fab had about 20 games with Germany u19 and u20 teams. They grew up through the German ranks and chose us when each was definitely in Germany's plans. Jones even played senior team games just not euros or WCQ games. Fan was only 22 or 23. He could have worked his way onto their team. Aron Johnson would be another player who fits this theme. Corona could too. Such is life of the dual national game

I'd be more upset about fargundez. He moved here at 5 or 6. Grew up in Massachusetts. Came through the homegrown path of mls. If he doesn't get his citizenship and plays for Uruguay that would be a loss
