He has some explosive acceleration I have to say, not stellar level, but pretty good.

Great level of maturity, I can see him captaining the U-20 side in next WC.

If he continues to play like this in Mexico, getting goals and assists. He'll probably skip the u-20's.

I wouldnt worry about Paul Arriola. He was interviewed by SOccer By Ives and he stated he wants to play for the NT. He was also asked if any contact from Mex NT and he said no but people that support Mex NT have told him to play for them. He hasn't second though it. He wants to play for US MNT

Has anyone been keeping tabs on this kid? How is he playing? What is he like?

Considering our lack of attacking midfielders I don't see why if he improves and gets a lot of solid PT he would climb above guys like Bedoya, Zusi, Corona, and Davis on the depth chart. That's what I'm hoping for at least (I've given up on Shea and Adu for this World Cup). I know he's naturally a striker but I've heard he can play on the wing (I don't think I've seen him play yet though).

Of all the games I've watched, and that is many, I have yet to see him play on the wing. More central most of the time. He'll be a good option if he can keep getting playing time. Some funky things starting to go down in Tijuana - only two guys played last week out of what, 5 or 6 possible. Perhaps just a blip but still...

I'd much rather see Greg Garza who's a left back and what we need get a call right now. Arriola is fantastic though. Someone to cheer for definitely.

I have watched games with Arriola playing on the wing for Tijuana. It's his preferred position. He has lined up centrally as well.

From what I had seen he most often lines up on the wing.

This kid is special. He may be the closest player to Donovan I have seen yet. He has stolen the show early on in this CCL game. Taking players on ruthlessly, and banging a potential Golazo off of the far post. He also has Donovan's vision and passing skills. And he has speed and quickness to boot. We may be witnessing Donovan's heir.

I would not be surprised to see Klinsmann give him a this next year.

I would really like to see this kid called-up soon. He has got to be one of the most exciting US players I have seen in a very long time

Wow Tijuan is ripping this Honduran team apart. You would have to say that Tijuana have to be favorites to win the CCL. I would put Tijuana, Galaxy, and America as favorites.
