Probably said that at a USA pep rally or something. I went to Germany a believer in Bruce's project which was a supreme disaster. Dempsey scored his first of three consecutive World Cup goals v Ghana and there were fleeting moments against Italy where we thought Landon could actually be something. But 2006 was a disaster from the kickoff of the first game. Don't ever bring him up again unless it's a galaxy thread.

As far as expectations go for copa2016, have whatever you like. I will wait to see the groups before deciding what I think about how far we can/should go.

When is the draw?

US are seeded in Group A and will play their group games in

  • San Francisco on June 3
  • Chicago on June 7
  • Philly on June 11

If the US wins the group they'll play in Seattle on June 16. If they finish second in the group they'll play at Metlife on June 17. If they make the semi-finals they will play in Houston on June 21. The final is at Metlife on June 26.

The other seeded teams are Brazil (B), Mexico (C) and Argentina (D).

We just better hope we do not get a group like Colombia, Chile and Panama/Costa Rica.

Would love to see us get a group like Bolivia, Peru, Cuba/Haiti.

Because we are guaranteed to get another CONCACAF team and those are the two that give us the toughest time. I doubt we will be in a 3 CONMEBOL team group, that would be cruel.

I picked Peru because they were the worst of the middle tier teams IMO, Ecuador seems to have our number.

This is how I would rank CONMEBOL:
1. Brazil 2. Argentina 3. Chile 4. Colombia 5. Uruguay 6. Ecuador/Peru 8. Paraguay 9. Venezuela 10. Bolivia

i see idk i basing off recent result not past 10-20 yrs. Chile hell of a team right now, Ecuador top of Conmebol qualifiers atm with 12/12 points. Argentina is slacking. Colombia not the same from world cup

USA-Bolivia-Haiti- Venezuela
Not the most exciting group but the easiest on paper possible
USA - Uruguay-Panama-Ecuador my prediction.

Much more tougher combinations for obvious reason than there are easier teams.

We match well with Uruguay or Paraguay. Two of the most physical teams in south america. Apart from suarez from uruguay who is very technical

Nice will make that trip up north to Santa Clara. Don't know why the say San Francisco no stadium there lol. Hope we get a Colombia or chile or uruguay would love to see them also. I'm guessing the best pro crowd we get will be in Chicago since is close by KC and Ohio. might get outnumbered in fans in the east and west depending if we play a south american team.

You know how i know your a mexico fan ? When USA loses to them you don't complain you think is OK, You make excuses etc etc... On the other hand a real USA SOCCER FAN like me will complain criticize, ask for changes and insult and put pressure on the people in charge because that's what real Americans do they wan't the best for them and their teams because guys like me love our national team and don't wanna see them fail specially vs Mexico but guys like you 2tone are satisfied or don't care to express any hard feelings losing to them so think about that for a minute. In case you forgot this is the " land of the free " so i can express my feelings but you on the other hand is Mexican so apparently you don't have that right.

True but Argentina and Colombia on paper are scary good, that is why I put them ahead of Ecuador. Much more talent and depth. I think Ecuador is a more beatable team than the other two. Look at each national teams current roster and Colombia, Argentina, Uruguay have more players that I fear than Ecuador. Ecuador is playing out their mind and who knows many of their players could move to bigger clubs.
