While everyone talks about Freddy Adu, Joe Corona, and Luis Gil as possible CAM's for the 2018 WC cycle, there is one American player at 20 years old that is starting to get serious recognition in West Ham's first team attacking plans. That player is Sebastian Lletget, who has become the forgotten man in USMNT circles. The kid is having a very good pre-season, and is starting to garner a lot of attention form West Ham fans and players. Joe Cole has been touting Seb up, and he is impressing the West Ham first team coaches in Pre-season. Don't be surprised to see him get some first team minutes, and maybe an occasional start in cup competitions this season at CM/CAM.

True we've forgotten him. Awesome news nonetheless. Let's hope Scott Parker doesn't go back and then we might actually see him a good bit!

The more and more I think about it; the more I come to the conclusion that the USMNT 2018 WC player pool is going to be extremely talented.

The CAM's/Attackers alone are impressive to think about:

CAM: Adu, Lletget, Gil, Corona, Nagbe, Kellen Rowe

Right and left attacking middies/wingers: Corona, Nagbe, Pontius, Shea, Lletget, Adu, Zusi, Gyau, Gatt, Gil, Rowe. Not to mention other players that will emerge. Plenty of speed, creativity, and goal scorers in that bunch.

Love seeing this! I've been waiting for Seb to start get recognized. With him playing well love seeing him called in for a friendly soon! With Diskarud, Lletget, Corona, F Johnson, Pelosi and many others, not to mention Bradley is still young, future is bright at mid which is pretty strong now. Biggest question, will Adu EVER get it together and join this talented group?

Very cool, hope he gets some time this season.

More and more American's in the premier league, giving us all reason to tune into some of the teams we would have otherwise not cared at all about.

I remember him making the game day roster but never really came off the bench for some league games.. I think by week 10 or 15 he will be starting for west ham. His a dual national, parents from Argentina but he has no shot with them, usa is his best bet.

I thought it was Italy?? And I believe he has said that he'd love to join the Azzuri if they ever called. Better watch out, hopefully we don't have another Rossi in our ranks, who is actually one of his friends.

Great to hear, I've been waiting to hear something on Lletget. If he could be a part of the first team this coming season that's great, if not really hope he goes out on loan.

Now waiting to hear something positive on Joe Gyau at Hoff...

That has already been put to rest. He has stated that while he made a remark about possibly joining Italy's ranks; he never meant it as his first choice. He wants to play for the US.

He has the ability to suit up for the US, Italy, and Argentina. He has an Italian passport I believe which allowed him to join West Ham's academy before he was 18.

If hes getting first team minutes he has to be in the conversation for Brazil. Right now anyone getting minute in the EPL should be in the picture

Seba Lletget getting the start as the CAM today for West Ham in a pre-season game. Looking like Seba is really impressing the coaching staff. It would be awesome to see him play himself into a starters role at the beginning of the season for West Ham.

The next test for the Dooley-led revitalization of the Philippine national team kicks off soon.
