You have to think Jurgen knows Stu and Mix are 10000000x better than Beckerman and torres. But most likely Beckerman will still start cuz hes JK's butt buddy leaving Mix on the bench. Get over Beckerman let the future happen.

What we'll prolly see..

------Herc-------

Castillo---Corona---LD

---Awfulman--Stu---

Beasley-Gooch-Good-Park

with LD moving centrally if he is uneffective out wide.

What I'd rather see so we can pummel the first two opponents and rest against Costa Rica..

------Herc------

Corona--LD---Bedoya

----Mix---Stu-----

Beasley-Gooch-Good-Park

I believe Corona would benefit with actual quality National Team players below him

I would vote for:

Gomez

Donovan

Shea Bedoya
Holden Mix

Beasley Gooch Goodson Castillo

Rimando

I want to see more of Corona but just not sure where he fits in yet. I am not a Parkhurst fan, not that he ever does anything just terrible but I think we should at least give Castillo a shot in the back and if not at left back then why not right back against one of these smaller nations. I would also love to see Orozco Fiscal play some at right back but would love to see Castillo get a shot in the back somewhere first. I love the middle of Holden and Mix but can understand if Klinns goes with more conservative Beckerman for at least another game or two even though I feel like we should go all out these first two games and get our goal differential up so we can play all the backups against Costa Rica.

I get Klinsy loving Beckerman but this is not the game for him to be playing, just makes no sense at all. I still expect to see it but will be disappointed like the rest of you if it happens.

Klinsmann said no spots are guarenteed and he will play who deserves it. With this group we've had one game and Mix/Holden are clearly the two CM's who deserve to play after that game... but then again Klinsmann does like to do things opposite to what he says, like calling in Guchi after not getting any playing time at all with his club...

My question is I know Rimando is the number 3 keeper and will start the game but playing inferior opponents like this why not start Johnson or Hamid and let them get some experience in competition.

I don't think Stu can go a full 90' yet. I'd bet he'll be a 2nd half substitute again. Maybe start against Cuba or CR

I think we're all in agreement this should be the starting lineup.. Corona/Bedoya same player either one could start

-----Gomez-----
------LD------
Shea---Holden-Mix--Bedoya
Beasley-Goodson-Parkhurst-Beltran
-----Rimando-----

I understand the doubts of stu not being able to play a full 90' but he hasnt even been given a chance to go a full 90'.. I guess let him start and go 75' and put in Beckerman for defense late. Thats the only logical way to do this. Thank god Jk didn't make Beckerman the captain

My prediction:

Klinsmann starts the same starting 11 that started against Guatemala. They struggle through the first half and score 1 goal, score at halftime 1-1. Klinsmann inserts Shea, Mix, and Stu at halftime and the US scores 4 more goals with the final score line at 5-1.

I can see that too, especially between Castillo, Beck, and Torres, one of them is going to turn the ball over in a horrific spot. The sad part isnt that Klinsmann is stubborn, its that he can't forsee these problems from the start. Between him and Vasquez, they have trouble evaluating players.

This is the line-up I expect to see with the expectation that Holden can't go 90 min:

--------Gomez
----Shea--LD--Carona
-----Beckerman-Mixx-----
Beasley-Goodson-Gooch-Parkhurst
--------Rimando-------

Holden for Beckerman @45
Wondo for Shea with Gomez going out left @75
MacAttack for LD @80min if the game is already in hand

Over or under 4.5 I will go with the over 5 goals.. I think USA will make a statement in their first game.. 5/0 my prediction.. Donovan with 2 goals, assist..
