Hoyos as well as his brother would be a great addition to any mls team. Hope at least 1 of them comes here.

That's awesome. Doesn't hurt to have another talented winger emerging 6 months out from the WC.

He still has to file a one-time switch, but he has stated that he wants to play for the US.

Sounds like his form is returning, and at 22 this guy has a lot of soccer ahead of him.

If he continues to play well, I wonder if we see him as a potential call-up in March?

I'd like to see Mike Hoyos come to the LA Galaxy

OFI Crete website is pretty bad. According to his club, he's from brazil

I would like to see the highlights!

Considering this guy was one of our brightest prospects ever and there wasn't permanent damage from the injuries suffered in the car accident (aside from any psychological issues), it's too early to give up on him (I mean, people were talking about Davies for years after it was clear he'd never be the same player). The Greek league is decent, too. Considering how awful our attacking mid options are, if he were to start playing well at the club level, he should be considered for the NT.

Good looking out stone

Nice goal

@ BShredder

I say call everyone into the World Cup camp and let klinsmann make the decision.

IMO, I would like all the dual national guys called in to the camp and if klinsmann selects anyone of them, have them cleared 2 weeks before WC

why is it when an AMERICAN player playing in Europe scores a goal and everyone gets excited ? when at least 80% of MLS players are better than them and our players score on a daily basis ?? " Must be the $ ". Most of our euro players play in leagues much beyond mls.

I hate spelling/grammar police posters but I'm going to have to say something here. Not trying to be accusatory, just letting you know how you might come off to other readers. I've never seen you spell Klinsmann's name correctly before, but I've noticed that recently you have decided on "Klissman." Not that spelling is particularly important or easy but if you continue to misspell a word you read and write all of the time, especially if the spelling sounds nothing like what it actually sounds like, it makes you look like you don't know how the word is actually pronounced (or that you just have a really bad memory). Have you ever heard Klinsmann's name pronounced on TV? Have you ever spoken face-to-face to another US fan? I'm not accusing you of this, I'm just letting you know what this might look like to other people. And it's one reason why you might want to remember how to spell his name. This is our national team's head coach of two and a half years, after all. Try a little ditty or acronym or whatever memory trick you use, it's probably worth the effort to try and remember which syllable has one 'n' and which syllable has two.

After the World Cup

Klinsmann does bring players in slowly but I don't think he has absolutely ruled out giving new players a shot right before the World Cup, especially if it is at a problem position (he did do this after all with the German NT, when he had infinitely more scrutiny, pressure, and expectations). We have a total lack of attacking mids aside from Donovan and Dempsey (who might not be full 90 players). We need five or six and the next three on the depth chart are Bedoya, Zusi, and Eddie Johnson. After that it might be Brad Davis. Even if we don't have any injuries, I think it'd be very reasonable for Klinsmann to at least try out a young player who was one of our best prospects ever but struggling with psychological issues recovering from his accident (but no permanent physical damage) and playing in the Greek league. If he gets a lot of PT, of course.

I'm not predicting this will happen but I'm just saying if I were the coach and he plays well for Crete I would definitely give him a call-up. And it wouldn't surprise me too much if this did happen.

I hate to be the harbinger of bad news, ladies and gentlemen, but Michael Orozco will start for the US men's national team in Jacksonville.
