Well they got beat 3-0 at home by newly promoted Paderborn today, sooo....they probably need the help in the attacking third.

Good move, best of luck. Did JK have anything to do with making this happen or is that too "conspiracy theory"? He was the manager once...

Of Hamburg? Fairly certain he wasn't. How would him having been manager at Bayern have anything to do with this?

He is more of a cm don't think that affects green very much in terms of minutes since he can play across the mid field and foward.

Ok this is getting ridiculous over in Hamburg. Now it appears according Hamburg that Julian Green is refusing to play for the reserves . How much of this Bayern telling him to do this? I mean come on. Would you rather pay for Bayern's reserves or Hamburg's?

I doubt any is Bayern telling him what to do since he can't play for Bayerns reserves until next season. They are undoubtedly disappointed in the lack of PT given how God awful HSV are but that's the way of the world sometimes. Could always do half a season in MLS and then head back in July but that's unrealistic.

I understand why he refused to play for the reserve team. He was loaned with the expectation that he would get first team minutes. If he wanted to play for the reserve team he could have just stayed with Bayern. I am assuming that if they terminate his loan then he can return to his parent club and play where they place him. Is there something that I don't understand? Why can he not play for their reserve team until next season?

This was my first thought too. I don't think he takes this stance if he's not at least influenced by Bayern. Too risky.

Bayern own his contract so I'm pretty sure they can play him if his loan is terminated. We will find out what's going on after he meets the Hamburg management. I think they just want to use him to get their reserves promoted to the third division.

Yep you're right, apologies. Misunderstood the situation. I was having a massive brain fart and thought for some reason this situation paralleled that of Hatem Ben Arfa, but it's completely different. Green would definitely be able to return to Bayern and play.

He really should cut ties with Hamburg. Maybe he should tryout the Bundesliga 2. He should go the Bobby Wood's team, haha.

Julian Green was loaned to Hamburg to play first team ball. Not play for the reserves, he could do that at Bayern. I completely support Julian.

We are having the WORST luck right now with our wingers..concerning the senior team at least. Gyau injured, Gatt injured, Green no PT, Shea failed in Europe..

Hopefully the next couple years we will see our youngers guys start getting first team ball to widen the senior pool of wingers..
