I was thinking what if FIFA made a stipulation to US soccer that in order to cut down travel time, and to construct a more inclusive WC atmosphere that US soccer had to choose a coast either East coast or West coast in order to host the 2026 WC.

Which coast would be better suited for a WC? Which would you the fan prefer?

I am going to predict the stadia for each coast. 8 Stadiums:

East Coast:

Foxborough
FedEx field
Met life stadium
Ravens Stadium
Eagles Stadium
Georgia Dome or Falcons new stadium
Panthers stadium
Dolphins Stadium

West Coast:

Century Link/Seattle
49rs new stadium
Rose Bowl
Stanford Stadium
LA Coliseum
Arizona Cardinals Stadium
Qualcomm Stadium
Oregon builds a 45,000 to 50,000 seat stadium

Personally I would bet on the East Coast to get it if this scenario was to happen.

With these two options I think you are really neglecting a huge part of the U.S. where it would be beneficial to the growth of soccer in our country. The massive soccer markets in Houston and Dallas would not even be considered along with Kansas city, St. Louis, Chicago, and Columbus. I feel as a country it would not be fair to our development to limit the world cup to already developed soccer regions.

If the circumstance is laid in front of us, I believe the east coast would serve as a better suitor because of the amount of stadiums in different states in such a small area. The stadiums listed for the west coast only benefit 3states (California, Arizona, & Washington).

Not saying this would happen. Russia is the biggest country because of the Siberian plain where population centers are non existent.

This is all speculation, but to tell you the truth I wouldn't mind seeing this done.

If this were to happen and they went east coast I cant imagine they would not consider RFK stadium especially after the Germany friendly. The last match at FedEx was Brazil and the turnout was fine it it is such a pain in the arse to get to since it really isn't the easiest locale to get to metro included.
