Well, it's an interesting day for people named Bocanegra. MLS has an article on their website that Ricardo Bocanegra has been in touch with Martin Vasquez to reiterate his desire to play for the MNT.

From the bit I've seen of him at Atlas, he looked solid but nothing great. The Gold Cup would have been a good opportunity to get him into the mix if they were interested.

He's not really a game changer from what I've seen. There have been reports of him not getting along with his teammates

I feel this is a ploy like the Toluca winger. I think Mexican players with American heritage who see themselves fading from the El Tri picture use the potential call up by the USMNT as leverage to force El Tri to call them up

Doubtful Nolesfan. He needs to get on the pitch more before he has any type of leverage with either side.

Maybe... the Toluca winger announced he was talking with the USMNT and now he is on the Mexico Gold Cup roster


A big question for U.S. fans heading into the World Cup is surely on Jozy Altidore and just what is plaguing the young striker at Sunderland.
