I actually had to leave before the second half started...

So a kid that is getting first team playing time in friendlies for bayern munich got snubbed for the U-20 WC roster? Tab Ramos is a fu**in idiot.....

I think Klinsmann should seriously think about calling Green into the Bosnia Friendly.

I actually could see Green getting a call up for Bosnia. He is getting solid preseason minutes with the reigning champions league winners and JK start calling up Boyd while he was playing for dortmund's reserves.

Green made some good runs but his first touch was poor. There are A LOT world class senior players for him to leap frog just to get on the bench. The Bundesliga doesn't allow as many subs on the bench as there were today. He should be with the reserves this year.

21 goals in one season (2005) across regular play and tournaments.....as a goalkeeper. Makes you wonder if they were ever punished sometimes with him being out of position on those set pieces....

Rogerio Ceni is the GK with more goals in all the world. And the answer for this :"Makes you wonder if they were ever punished sometimes with him being out of position on those set pieces" is here:

Just read a little bit about Julian in an MLSsoccer article. Has anyone been keeping an eye on him so far this year? Sounds like he's a real star in the making. I hope JK considers him for a call-up soon. Sounds like Germany is trying to sink their claws into him, but they were considering Brooks as well...

Seeing as how he played a big part in Bayern's first team in the pre-season, I'd imagine Germany might be interested. I do think, however, that Germany's crazy talent depth will ultimately force his hand to suit up for the USMNT.

Someone said above that he and his father have both stated his intent to play for the USA. Anyone have any info on that? I'd imagine if that were the case, then Jurgen has been in contact already.

Julian just had a hat trick a fews days ago. I think he's up to 10 goals this season for the reserves.

Julian's dad wants his son to play for the US. Julian Green is open to both Germany and USA. If you have twitter you should follow his dad. He's always tweeting about Julians performance. I always read it on the USA prospects twitter page.

I hope Julian gets called up in the november friendlies. Terrence Boyd got called up playing at that same level.

Per Julian Green. Klinsmann has contacted me about my international future, but right now I am focused solely on Bayern Munich.

Rough translation from this statement: I don't want to tie myself to the USMNT at my early age.

To be totally honest I think Julian Green is a long shot to be a USMNT player. This kid has a ton of talent and Germany knows this. To be honest with you, I bet he isn't even a US U-20 player for the 2015 team.

If he is somehow convinced, that'll be a huge addition. Certainly more likely than Zelalem.

Well, things may be settled at the youth level for Julian. He has been invited to play for Germany's U-19 Euro Qualifiers which would provisionally captie him to Germany. I have always felt that Julian Green may be a long shot for the US. No word if he has accepted the call-up yet.
