This isn't an ad.. I have no affiliation with this.

Curious if anyone has played or is playing...

www.hattrick.org

Hard to explain with it sounding like the most boring thing in the world to those of you who aren't familiar with it. Basically a simulation game, 2 games per week, 1 training and 1 in your league. All players are 'fake' but have a certain skill and you adjust that by training them. Players age and a year is 112 actual days.

So goal of the game, progress through leagues, start at VI and the best is I. You play against other managers in your country. Also each season you begin in the USA Cup and progress until you lose.

Fun game, a little slow, but enjoyable for the type of people that would enjoy this.. not a game for everyone. Designed so you don't have to spend much time per week to be successful.

I have toyed with several soccer simulation websites and I didn't really like Hattrick that much, I felt the player training was too limited.

But I have enjoyed these two quite a bit:

topelevan has one thats pretty fun too. You can do transfers and the like. One season is 4 weeks. Playable through facebook or topelevan.com

The German regular season is finished, however a pair of American players still have work to do in the promotion/relegation playoffs.
