Would have liked to see Juan agudelo on this roster... Other than that I like what I see especially in the mid field.

I am not enthused by the choice of keepers or the defense, but good enough to reach the semi-finals imo

I like what I see in this Gold Cup Roster, I like the mix of Veteran and Youth. The Defend is good, But the Midfield is good, on the Forward I would also would like to see Wooten, Agudelo, Gyau or Boyd instead of wondo and Gomez.

Wouldve rather seen Wood over Wondo or Bruin. Other than that not much. I dont rate Hamid or Johnson very highly but clearly those two are Klinsmanns future so giving them time makes sense. With the selection of the backline Jurgen better adjust and stop playing a highline. Goodson and Onyewu playing a highline is a dream for a lot of CONCACAF teams just not the US. On a side not I would love to see a Mix Holden combo in the middle.

Definitely missing Wood, Gyau, and Agudelo. I would love to see Sean Johnson get a lot of playing time during some of the smaller teams. Watching him in that friendly against Canada before the Honduras qualifier, he was top-notch and made sure that the game ended 0-0. I could definitely see him as the future for the USMNT.

Neither Sean Johnson nor Bill Hamid have a future with the USMNT. Cody Cropper is younger, and much MUCH more talented than either of those two.

Not even a competition...

Disgree.

Cropper has talent, but in now is he better than either Hamid or Johnson.

Would have liked to see Boyd and Agudelo on this team. Not sure what benefit Wondo, McInerney and Beckerman add. I know they are stars in the MLS, but Intl play does not seem to be in their future. Interested to see what form Onyewu is in. Would have liked to have given Charlie Davies a chance to come back in this tourney.

You have a problem with Jack McInerney on the roster but you want Charlie Davies?

Charlie Davies is off to a good pre-season with Randers, but in no way should he be on this Gold Cup team. I have advocated for Charlie before, but right now I would say no way.

If Davies can solidify a starting role, start scoring goals, and being a menace then it could be an interesting year for him. He showed flashes of his old self at certain times last season for Randers.

Like I said he has been starting in pre-season and has scored goals, so who knows Davies could toss his hat back into the ring this year.

If (Player X) starts for his team and plays really really well, well then, (Player X) might merit a look for the Yanks.

In all seriousness. Jack Mac deserves a look and I think most people would have liked to have seen Agudelo as Chivas is terrible without him (They were mediocre and kind of exciting with him) and the Revs are a much better team with him. Goals or not, he has made his teams better.

I am afraid Davies is done; however, I would love to be wrong.

I can see Davies perhaps eventually working back up to a bit-part player for the MNT but can't see him as being one of the "go-to" attackers he was shaping up to be before his accident. He's lost a lot of his pace and that was his deadliest asset.

The next test for the Dooley-led revitalization of the Philippine national team kicks off soon.
