Damn Daniel!

OK sorry....

Danny has garnered interest from Sunderland, Newcastle, Swansea and Villa. Would be lovely to see him get some Prem minuets. Wonder if he would find himself as a #6 or #8? A signing like this (minus Villa) could go a long way to him making and being a big part of the 2018 WC.

This is being reported via the Sunderland Echo. Was looking for Yedlin news

Probably won't have anything on Yedling, Guzan, Birnbaum, Zardes until after this weekend. That's IF we have anything at all anyways.

I'm pretty sure we'll get something on Yedlin, and I'm sure Guzan moves from Aston Villa.

Will also be some Brooks rumors, but I think he stays for now.

The Brooks news is that Hertha is pleased with his performance in the Copa (duh!) and they have no intention on selling him. Of course that's a fancy way of saying if you want Brooks you're really going to have to overwhelm us. Rumors are that they want a 20m+ euro transfer fee.

add emerson hyndman now will be in premier league. Matt Miazga another prem player. Hopefully Gyau, Iceman can recuperate top 4 league level. Hopefully Boyd can Rubin can break into their teams. We dont lack talent. unlucky injuries and not proper use keeps killing us

I might just be mis-remembering this, but haven't we called in D-Will a few times in the last year/year and a half, and each time he's played he's been pretty terrible? Like, not just that he was "eh", but that he actually played really poorly.

Because I think that's the case....

i agree, the only positive I've taken was his goal I think he scored against Germeny. He's had a whole lot more negative for the Stars and Stripes than good

Danny Williams is supposedly in talks with Reading over an improved contract...primarily to stave off interest in January from PL clubs.

I think if Reading gets promoted a lot of their wage trimming gets taken care of and they will have the finances to keep him. Id love to see him stay and be their engine if they get promoted

Williams has had some decent showings, but he's had some stinkers as well. The problem he's had is the same we've had at times with Bradley & Jones. They're all Box-to-Box type CMs who play best when paired with a dedicated CDM. When you throw these guys into a formation w/out a CDM they too often occupy the same space and/or get caught to far up-field, leaving the back-line exposed.

You're absolutely right about Danny Williams. His mindset can be programmed for CDM, but he's a rangy type player as well..wanting to hone in on a tackle instead of camping.

Well by all accounts, D-Will was the best player for Reading today and one of the best all season. He'll move on at the end of this season with his contract up.

Also, Wagner leads Huds into the Prem!

Follow that to its logical conclusion... Wagner coaches Williams in the premier league.

I just don't see how he doesn't make the Russia squad as the box to box midfielder next to Bradley. He is currently, and will be in 2018, a better player than Acosta. Especially with Bradley dedicated to playing the 6, it has to be Williams in that box to box role for my money.
