I'm sure we will see Gall in a US jersey next u20 WC, it will be a stacked team that should compete well.

Like all dual nationals, if you treat them well, they'll be unlikely to leave the program. Benji Joya was the same way when he grew up cheering for Mexico. Gall seems happy these days and as he plays for the US as the next U20 WC approaches, he'll probably be even more excited.

Sounds like the same story with Bryan Salazar (just insert Honduras.) Only difference is he's never been invited to any program.

Like I said before, he scores 1 goal for the dynamo and Honduras will be all over him.

Well I hope Gall stay with the US Youth system and learn to love the USA jersey as the same way he love the France but if he choose to represent LeBlues I don't be mad at him cause he's been honest of his feeling not like Mexican/American player like
Eric Avila who reportedly resigns USMNT eligibility to pursue spot with CD Guadalajara. I would wonder what would happen to Ocegeda after playing with the US U20 if Chivas CD de Guadalajara ask him to resigns to the USA in order for him to stay with CHIVAS. The US Federation, MLS and FIFA have to do something about this S**t. You can not make a player to resign their country in order to play for a Football Club. At least Brook, Chandler and even Rossi were honest of their feelings.

Avila was probably never going to make it into the USA 1st team anyways, if this helps his club career, so be it. Not worried about it.

should've read the entire article before I posted but Maryland is just a secondary option just in case he doesn't get a pro contract

Wow. He's the first real test case of a true blue chip youngster shunning europe for MLS. Hopefully it works out because if he plays well and either becomes an MLS star or gets a mega transfer fee in a couple years then Im sure other MLS teams will try to copy this move and the US U20s will get a huge boost

There is also a trade happening with DC today, I wonder if DC is trading for him?

Either way what a great signing for MLS. The kid is very talented.

If we didn't have so many other young, talented players over in Europe, I would be heart-broken over this news. But because our player pool is so deep now, this move doesn't bother me as much.

This move is fine for me, he wasn't with a top side in Europe anyways. Should show well in MLS.

Not sure why you'd be heart broken. He's pretty much (or its likely) that he's choosing MLS over Austrian League, Belgian League, Bundes 2, maybe Eredivise. Thats a great sign that he thinks MLS is just as good for his career as those other leagues.
