I like all the above mentoined lineups above however I think klinsmann doesnt start mcinerney calling up gomez tells me its gomez spot to lose. I would have preferred mcinerney start over gomez but klinsman tends to play favorites and he really likes herculez. I really do think beasley ends up at left midfielder simply due to the fact that both ashe and castillo were called up which tells me he wants either ashe or castillo at left back. I think navi made an excellent point about the lack of pace between goodson and onyewu I would prefer orozco because of his speed but klinsman my guess is he picks onyewu and goodson. Looking at how klinsman has used his camp cupcake roster he put gatt on the bench so my guess is gatt actually is a supersub which I would be fine with. my guess is corona ends up on the right wing. at central midfield even though I am beckermans least favorite fan I still have to put him in simply due to the lack of true defensive midfielders.

My lineup

Jack Mac
Beasley-LD-Gatt
Beckerman-Holden
Castillo-Orozco-Goodson-Beltran.

Klinsmanns Lineup

Herculez
Beasley-LD-Corona
Beckerman-Holden
Castillo-Onyewu-Goodson-Beltran.

I just think there is absolutely no reason to play Beckerman we're in a group with Belize, Cuba and Costa Rica. He should only see the field if we have a lead in the game.. otehrwise he's just wasted space but I'm sure he'll start each game.

What I want
Jack Mac
Corona-LD-Gatt/Bedoya
Mix/Torres-Holden
Castillo-Orozco/Gooch-Goodson-Beltran.

What we'll see
Herculez
Beasley-Torres-Donovan
-Beckerman-Holden
Castillo-Onyewu-Goodson-Parkhurst

He wouldn't have called in Gomez, Parkhurst, Beasley and beckerman to ride the bench

The CBs for this tournemount will be very dangerous, we will leak goals from over the top balls (especially with our high line). Having Beckerman as a dedicated DM will help. Its not our fault that the coach is an idiot in CB selection.

Klinsmann has strayed away from the dedicated #6 role. Unless he takes the leash off of Beckermans neck and allows him past the midifled line, don't expect to him to play much. Again, I only see him as a late sub to preserve a lead ONLY.

I heard this on the Soccer Morning Show and I think its a good idea. I would like to see Donovan lined up on the left. He's one of those players can play all along the attacking midfield line. Klinsmann only trusts Beasley and Johnson at LB. IMO Beasley cannot be our LB in Brazil, which then leaves only Johnson. It's too bad, too, because I really like Fabian at LM, but we need to be 100% sure at every postion come the summer of 2014. With Shea's status up in the air at the moment, we can't be positive he'll turn out at Stoke. I have no doubts that Donovan can play on the left side, so it would be nice to see him get some reps in that position.

----------Jack Mac------------
Donovan-----Bedoya------Corona
-------Mixx------Holden--------
Castillo--Goodson---Fiscal---Beltran
----------Johnson------------

Subs: Gomez, Gatt(so we can all realize he's not a good player), and Beckerman

I think people will find out that Corona is not a winger.

I would like to see this:

---------Bruin--------
Beasley------Holden------Lando
-------Mixx-----B-Man------
Castillo----Orozco----Gooch----
------------Rimando----------

It's a toss up between Gooch and Goodson. I could care less either way. Or he might go with both Goodson and Gooch in the back.

This I what I want to see but know its not happening-

Jack Mac/ Herc
Donovan-Bedoya-Corona/Gatt
Torres/Mix-Holden
Beasley/Castillo-Gooch-Goodson-Parkhurst

Now it may not be the best idea to start two very similar center backs like Gooch and Goodson so maybe drop one for Parkhurst or Orozco. While both are primarily right backs at club they have both played in the center. I'd also like to make sure Gatt gets plenty of playing time.

Your missing a RB. Also Id prefer Torres or Corona over Beckerman as we dont need a #6 against Guatemala, Belize, Cuba, & most likely T&T or Canada in the knockout round.

Beckerman is better than Torres. That's why I have him starting. Yeah I noticed to late that I didn't have a RB. The edit button only stay's for so long.

I think you'll see Beckerman because Gooch and Goodson are not the fastest CBs. But I think Klinsmann will move around players.

Do you not all see how one decision Jurgen makes puts a fatal flaw in everyone's lineups (slow CBs)? This is why Jurgen is incompetent. Mistakes like this are obvious to a 12 year old.

I am very disappointed with the CB options at this tournament. Would liked to have seen another MLS standout here at least on the roster.

At this point I assumed JK has decided on Besler and/or Gonzo and/or Cameron starting for 2014 already because realistically Gooch/Goodson have no shot at being our best CB's come WC 2O14. Guess he's looking for an experienced backup. So risky though... what happens if we see an injury to Besler or Gonzo and Cam doesn't start much @ Stoke. We are then stuck with trying to figure out a new possible option from January - summer of next year. T

Why not try and find another semi youthful option?

Now you arent the only one, but I dont get why people think Holden can play the CAM role. When has he ever been a consistent goal threat? His best position is as a number 8.

Completely agree, we've tested Besler and Gonzo, which became the defaults after the old guard stop performing, so now we should be bringing in guys that were either just coming back from the U20 WC or from MLS.

Zimmerman, Hedges and John come to mind (no FCD bias here, lol), and I think it's either Beltran or Loyd (Beltran is a better attacking defender, Loyd is a better all-around defender, and is no slouch on the offensive side) at RB until Chandler is "ready" to take over on a permanent basis. Didn't watch all of the U20 WC but Yedlin apparently did well for himself and should probably be capped to the senior side sooner rather than later. I see him being the long term deputy for Chandler unless someone else better comes along.

Still, swift recovery Dolo, I still want to see you at the WC!

This is what I would start with, then sub in players like Bedoya, Corona, Torres, Gomez, Shea(Guatemala), or Bruin.

Well the thing is that since they werent on the prelim roster, they cant be called up. The slow Cbs are frustrating but they should be more than capable for the group stage. If not, callup guys after the group stage.
