Speaking of humility, Sunil Gulati could do with some. Have you watched/heard him speak? He is the smartest guy in the room at all times (as far as he knows).

I've heard him a few times. Don't get into the Sunil Gulati following too much since there is little we can do as fans speaking about him. Did read 'most' of the recent interview with him and Wahl recently. Was a decent read.

Portland fans are unreal... why do I live in the opposite corner of the country.. (NBC Sports right now)

I'm happy with McInerny Wood LD starting up top. Just feel Agudelo offers something most players don't. Without knowing the reason why he wasn't included makes it hard to complain.

For all we know, Agudelo and JK spoke and decided putting in a good season would be better for his career both at club and with the USA.

Knowing Ramos came out and didn't rate Zimmerman, but somehow rates Torre, that gives us reason to complain.

So with the Gold Cup about two weeks away it's time to predict a possible 23 man roster; this is based off of the 35 man prelim roster:

GK: Rimando, Sean John, Tally Hall

Defense: Parkhurst, Beltran, Ashe, Castillo, Onyewu, Bocanegra, Orozco

Middies: Holden, Diskerud, Beckerman, Torres, Corona

Attackers: Lando, Bedoya, McInerney, Wood, Bruin, Gordon, Gatt, Shea

Back on topic for me... with your roster..

------McInerney----
------Wood-------
Shea------------LD
----Corona-Holden----
Castillo-Boca-?--Beltran
------Rimando------

Wouldn't be disappointed to see Disk or Torres over Corona. They should all get a chance.

Wouldn't be disappointed to see Bedoya or Gatt over LD and push LD up top behind a striker.

Want to see Wood get a chance.

Won't be surprised to see Beckerman Holden and Torres/Disk/Corona in the middle.

Hope Holden sees serious minutes.

I understand the sentiment behind not pulling the two starting CBs from a team to be in your international roster, but how is it that neither George John nor Matt Hedges made the squad? They already have a great interpersonal understanding, and are consistently solid, both on defense and during offensive set pieces. I don't think that places should have been given to the "old guard" CBs that will probably be included in the WC squad as subs if they're even fit, and we really need to be testing out more of the young talent than seeing if the old guys can still hang

-Agudelo - Boyd -

Shea ---- donovan

-- Adu -Diskerud --

Castillo - Hedges - John - Gatt

-------Clark -----------

Subs: Corona, Wood, Holden, Gyau, Alvarado, Hines, Wooten, Taylor, Sinovic

But why listen to the fans right ???? because im sure klinsmann will figure out a way to start davis, evans, beckerman, and wondo at the same time

I am excited to see Corona get a start (I'm assuming he'll get a chance since he plays with the big kids) as well as see Castillo get a chance, Gatt, Jack Mac... Maybe Wood.

Why do people still think Josh Gatt is any good?

Not having Agudelo on this roster is an absolute crime.

I'm assuming Klinsmann is going to stick with the 4-2-3-1 and Agudelo is the perfect forward for it.

If I had my way:

------Agudelo-----
Shea---Bedoya---Donovan
----Mixx--Holden-----
Castillo-Hedges-John-Beltran
-------Johnson-------

If you had it your way, hopefully you can come up with a better option at RB.

There is no way Shea should be on this team. His preseason at Stoke is the most important month of his career. That's how he is going to earn his minutes this season.

Not having Hedges is crazy.
