He's more exciting than jack mcinerney and klinsmann's gold cup roster !

And sometimes you don't need someone exciting, you need someone effective. McInerney finds a way to get the job done.

I saw him play in,,person when he was in HS.., like i said when the season started he would be the most electric rookie/mls player of the year . If he was 19/20 i would bet.he would probably get sub20 wc player of the year... I have him over villareal, mc bean, he reminds me of a young but big strong freddy adu... If he starts every game from now on,, i guarantee he would end up being the leading,scorer in mls..

Im just messing around. I know a lot of you speak highly of McInerney but the two times Ive see him (todays game was #2), he's blown easy chances to score goals.

I think zardes is going to be the real deal when he gets more experience. His injury set him back but he is still young. Fun and exciting player to watch. Could've had 3 or 4 goals today.

a bshredder.. @ blaise... I get your points,, zardes might be a fun player to watch but would he effective,, mc inerney is not fun to watch but comes trough.. I think zardes is a star cm/winger as a making, and mc inerney is the next wondolowski.. At the end any real ussoccer analyst would take zardes over Jack mac.. even tho i love jac macs game.. Zardes would be a bigger impact.. Just look at casey ?? Should he start vd costa rica, mexico after this game ??? Lol i bet most fans say helllll noooo,. Even tho he may be effective....

@admsghs

Really...? "At the end any real ussoccer analyst would take zardes..."

Clearly not, as the US coaching staff didn't see that and pretty much every writer (bshred, SBI, ESPN) has been calling for Jack Mac at this Gold Cup. He deserves it because of his game. And comparing him to Wondo is simply silly. They do not play a similar game, especially in terms of ball skills and off the ball movement.

please lets not compare Wondo and Jack Mac. As for for striker line up we should be happy for getting two different players from Zardes and Jack Mac. Doesnt matter who is fun to watch because since they are both different that will give us more option going to 2018 WC. Im pretty sure we might see Zardes in January Camp this time around if he is healthy and if we even have that.

Glad to see that Zimm got some good praise on this thread, he really showed a lot of maturity and skill out there.

Anyone notice that the last 3 drafted CBs for Dallas (John, Hedges, Zimm) have all been quality coming out of the gate and posted fairly impressive rookie numbers? Personally, I think Hedges got robbed on rookie of the year last season, but I can understand that a CB probably won't win that particular award without having a season nothing short of prodigeous.

I just started a thread on the Sapong red card decision, it's over at http://locker.yanks-abroad.com/index.php?mode...
