Mexico looked awful in the first half and Costa Rica should have scored twice in the first half. Fans were booing. Mexico has looked a lot better in the second half but it's still 0-0.

Honduras leads Jamaica 1-0 off of a 9th minute Garcia goal.

That guy was terrified of shooting... Costa Rica should have / could have gone up 1 there. 79'.

79' now, the Mexican fans tossing things at Costa Rican players... Also lasers being flashed at Costa Ricans most of the game. Disgusting as usual. Costa Rican was hit by an object while at the corner flag.

They stop the game, now more stuff is being thrown at them. Nasty typical behavior. Bryan Ruiz walks away because he doesn't want to get hit any more and now the Mexican players getting in his and the refs face because he's not taking the corner.

Gross stuff here.

Bryan Ruiz keeps getting hit in the head with bottles of water and/or piss while trying to take the corner.

Congratulations Bryan, you're almost American now.

7 minutes of stoppage time? Are you serious? This is ridiculous. I hope Costa Rica scores in the 97th minute.

Honduras just scored a second to go up 2-0. Only a minute or so left in that one.

So glad el tie did their thing tonight and tied once again at home. Couldnt happen to a more classless fan base who restorted to throwing water bottles piss and batteries at ruiz on a corner kick and injuring him. Honestly I really wish them the worst in concacaf qualifying. Their fans have a huge superiority complex for not doing shit. When they devote all of their resources and energy to soccer and yet we are on top on concacaf right now with a sport that is considered by most to be the fifth or sixth biggest in our nation.
Its just too funny fun facts the us has made it farther then el tie has ever been in the world cup. We finished third in 1930 and mexico will never ever make it to the semifinals of the world cup. The confederations cup might be a blood bath for mexico as they have to play brazil italy and japan in the group stage. Cheapo is a dead man walking right now. Honestly tonight has been awesome United States wins and mexico ties at home and shows their true colors truly truly good stuff tonight.

For the record Ruiz never got hit in the head. Replays clearly showed it went over him and he acted like he was shot in the back.

Not defending the fans as they tried to hit him, which is all that should matter, but Ruiz clearly could have acted differently and attempted to qualm the situation instead of making it worse

I don't know how De la Torre still has a job. I figured they would have fired him after our draw at Azteca.

I expect him to be gone after the confederations cup.

You think it is Ruiz's job to calm the situation? He should've waited until something actually did hit him in the head? That's nuts. The Mexican players needed to stop getting in Ruiz's face and get the crowd to calm down.

Pretty good strategy if you ask me - as long as the fans do that, why not waste time? CR was clearly looking for a draw at that point with hopes of a goal very fleeting. It added to Mexican frustration as well. Granted there were 7 minutes (which I agree was high - maybe 5 at the most), why not waste time when you have such an avenue to do so?

All that being said, Navas (CR keeper) was clutch, as was Corona. Joel Campbell is going to be really good someday, especially if he stays at Betis and keeps growing into the game. Both Mexican strikers had woeful touches in the box - better close control and that game goes overwhelmingly to Mex.
