Fabian is eligible. Anyone born here is

You're thinking of Danny Potts, who was born in England but whose American-born dad didn't live long enough in the USA to pass citizenship on. Potts is now playing for England's U21

Fabian Hurzeler signs a new 2 year deal with Hoffenheim's U23 team ?

So does this mean he wont be in Germany's plans anymore? I still want to know if Ramos invited him to the U-20 team.

MY question is will Cuevas regain his prior form? Is he still physically recovering?

Because the jump from Bundesliga club's U23 team to the senior team is huge. Most players at the U23 level don't make it - even at the best clubs

He had to file a one-time switch to even play for the US U-20's. He never made the switch during this cycle. So why would Ramos invite him to the team when he wasn't in contention to even play for the US?

And why would that mean he is not in Germany's plans anymore? The German U-21 team had two Hoffenheim players in the starting 11 for this summers Euro U-21 tournament i.e. Rudy and Volland.

He flaked at the last minute during the 2011 cycle for the US, and since then has appeared for the German U-19 team.

Could he make the switch in the future? Possibly, but my guess is he will wait to see if he gets called in for the 2015 German U-21 team.

Good move for him. But it's not news worthy what happens with him until he decides that he wants to rep the US in the future.

There were a lot of options and other players Ramos could've and should've looked at.

Im also disappointed that Omar Salgado blew his chance. He's beginning to look like the "jamarcus Russell" of MLS.

Mostly disappointed about Bryan Salazar but his school schedule is probably the reason. Bad timing

This is a strong team if you take in consideration some of the major injuries that has plagued this u20 team. How is Salgado the Jamarcus Russell of MLS. Salgado has been hurt, is not a bad player, and is only 19. Salazar has barely played at all leading up to the U20s world cup. I doubt he was ever a real candidate

Shane O'Neill will not be able to play against Spain due to his red card against Mexico in the CONCACAF U-20 final. Which means Torre will be starting. That's a huge problem. Really sucks that CB which was a strength for this U-20 side at one time i.e. Packwood and Zimmerman is now in flux due to injuries and now O'Neill's suspension.

I still think the US may get a point form this game, but it will be even harder now that O'Neill can't play.

O'Neil will be a huge loss but on the plus side most of Spain's attack comes from their 2 flank players so I think guys like Yedlin and Ocegueda will be a lot more important than our cb's for this game

Why isn't Zimmerman on this squad? Did we learn nothing from the U-23 disaster, you can't pick so few CBs when that is a problem areas.

Ramos should have known this, so I'm guessing he has confidence in Torre.
