It was a good game both teams had great chances... Thought jamaica woulf tie it at the end when they called the offsides that should not of been since a mexican player hit the ball backwards.. Anyways is gonna be tough for usa to win since is a must win for jamaica... I see a tie or a 1-0 result for usa...

Maybe I'm missing something, but why are you all sooo confident!? To me Jamiaca looked pretty damn good and had some good chances to spoil Mexico's evening. A little bit of luck for Jamiaca and this game ends tied. Tied against a Mexico squad all reved up and under alot of pressure to get a win. This game is gonna be tough. Jamiaca will now be under more pressure and drive to get a result against us after not getting any points against Mexico. Plus, last time we were down there we lost and the game against them in Columbus took a late second half free kick to get the win. We have the talent to win, and I hope klinsmann is on his tactical game!

I think people are so confident is because just like last time Jamaica played mexico....Jamaica did play pretty well, but STILL their weakness is finishing in the final third. I'm still a little cautious myself about the USA going down there and seeing exactly what evans, besler, and gonzo will do vs their speed. If we can keep the chemistry up like we did v Germany we should be just fine.

stone88 and Alcharod both have good points. The defense needs to be focused for 90 FULL minutes. The Jamaicans can play fast and well out of the back. Yes they do lack the finishing touch in the final third, much like we do more times than naught. However, I believe we can all agree they are playing a MUST WIN game against us to get their qualifying hopes back on track. Pressure can do funny things to a team, especially in WCQ games. The main problem for the Jamaicans is going to be they are coming into this game with only 2 and 1/2 days rest. That folks is going to be HUGE! The pressure will be on them to get a result.
What did the USMNT coaches take from this game, not to underestimate the Jamaicans for sure. Also, we need to come out and play the same way we did against the Germans, with attitude and 100% commitment in our abilities. Winning the little battles in the first 20-25 minutes will take the wind out of the Jamaicans sails and that earlier game fatigue will begin to creep into their minds and legs. The coaches should also remind them we need to get that early goal or goals. That will deflate the Jamaicans completely. I cannot wait until Friday!

Gotta score early and set the tone and defend those damn set pieces/not make stupid fouls in or near the box. Weren't both of their goals last time around on free kicks? As strange as it sounds, this is where Gonzo can be scary. He has the height to be an aerial presence both offensively and defensively - however, the Westermann goal last weekend showed horrible positioning. He's got to stick his man and not get outmuscled.

Both their goals were scored off set pieces, but both of those goals were Kyle Beckerman's fault. He's not on the roster this time, so let's hope we do better.
