Jamaica is just not going to win playing like that. I mean the side of salsido and Guardado is where they keep getting attacks freely

Although they are very much outclassed, Jamaica have had their chances. Missed headers plus Corona is having a great game.

Jamaica is the prefect example as to why being an athete is not enough when it comes to soccer. You have to have the technique and a soccer brain.

Which is exactly why the USMNT should be able to get a win.

You miss 100% of the wide open headers that you don't put on frame.

On a positive note for Jamaica, Ricketts is having himself a really nice game.

Well, Mexico is back on top of the group and at least for the time being the US is in fourth. We really need at least a point on Friday.

This was just a bad game for both teams. Mexico got the win but 1-0 win against a team that didnt know how to take corners first half. lol. Mex still struggles to seal the game away against such a terrible performance from Jamaica. Not worried at all when we play against them. We should win. Yanks should focus on putting the game away fast in order to rest our player for a tough Panama team with a fired player like Blas Perez

Truthfully skangles, I really dont see how the US doesnt leave with three points. This Jamaica squad really isnt that good. Call me arrogant but the US should be able to get a win.

If Jamaica had just an ounce of technical skills, they could have taken this game. They had the right idea and attacking the defense, but didn't know how to keep the damn ball. Corona did have an excellent save for Mexico that would have tied the game, and Ricketts basically put the team on his back as usual. If the US can't get three points after watching this.. well i dunno....

If we dont get 3 points on Friday than it will disappointing. Unless Jamaica play some inspiring Football or get lucky with 2 free kicks we have this in the bag.

And thats game Mexico with the 1-0 win. Was hoping for a draw, Mexico played very good deffinetly could see them head to panama and win on friday and then beat costa rica at the azteca. Although you never know how mexico is going to play under de la torre. I think the United States is probably looking at a draw/win in jamaica considering jamaica is missing a couple important attacking options.

I'm glad that Jamaica doesn't have much time to fix their errors. They'll be watching this tape quite a few times tomorrow and Thursday. I expect Jamaica to be a much more focused team on Friday, their world cup fate really depends on them getting a result against us.

All the US needs to do is control the midfield. Jones and Bradley are far superior, and should be able to dictate the flow of the game against Jamaica. One worry is Klinsmann employing the high backline against Jamaica. Jamaica has the personnel to get in behind with balls over the top. Which I forsee Jamaica trying to exploit against the US.

Keys for the US.

1. control the midfield
2. slow the game down with possession
3. feed Altidore and Dempsey.

Jamaica will be more tired Friday but they will also have to get 3pts to have any shot at the WC. It won't be easy but the USNT shoud come away with at least 1pt from this game.

Did anyone else have a hard time staying awake for this one?

I was also a bit surprised on how poorly Jamaica defended set pieces. I have a feeling the team that wins the set piece war will win the game.

If the US can get a goal off one we really likely don't need another to get a good result. As long as we don't give them space behind us we can sit back for 90 minutes and not be troubled. Its important not to commit a stupid fouls near or around the box which has burned us in past WCQ.

I'm feeling confident....hopefully I'm not let down.
