I just watched Rise & Shine: The Jay DeMerit Story on Netflix. Excellent documentary!

It ranks right up there with the 30 for 30 line of sports documentaries. I highly recommend checking it out if you have Netflix.

The always classy DeMerit retired today in an open letter on the Whitecaps website. There are fictional movies that fail to capture spirit of overcoming the odds as elegantly as DeMerit's life story. It was a pleasure to watch DeMerit where the stars and stripes.

Thanks for posting. Proud that Jay is going out like he played, with great dignity and humility. Hope he can stay involved in the game.
