Bradley is good at getting the ball off under pressure but he cant dribble past a defender. We need players that can take on an opponent and dribble by 1 or 2 guys. Thats what opens up more scoring chances.

@MSantoine

I think we can get all 9 points. Everyone except Chandler is healthy.

I can't in good faith say Jones is better than Bradley because he isn't.

I like jones, but he isn't better than Bradley.

I agree. I think 7 is the basement. Slip ups happen. Bad breaks happen. Bad calls happen. 9 is what they should get but Im ok with 7

Both have great qualities but I prefer jones because he:

*Plays on a better team in a better league
*better defender
*holds the ball at his feet when pressured better
*pushes the ball forward more than bradley.

Jones wont shake n bake a defender but we can't have two people on the field who don't have technical skills (especially lined-up next to each other)

1. I'll give you that but it doesn't mean he is better
2. No he isn't, he might be more aggressive and a more forceful tackler but as a pure defender they are either on par or Bradley with a edge
3. About the same, Bradley is one of the best in the pool at not losing possession under pressure.
4. Sure, he might move the ball forward more but Bradley is smarter with the ball, sure he might pass it backwards and sideways but it's to keep possession, Jones will push himself so far into the attack usually running towards the channels and corner himself and lose possession or just play the ball into the middle to be cleared out.

My expectations are linked to what we have done for the last 3 matches. We have 5 May/June matches coming up. I expect 5 shots on goal, no passing, no attack, no creativity, and plenty of players out of position. How can you expect anything else when JK will not change his horrible tactics and digusting player selections? No Donovan, but you will bring in Williams, Shea, and Holden? Brad Davis and now Ashe?

This is hilarious...but also sad because I don't expect much more than five shots on goal either. I am not a fan of a lot of his player selections either but I wouldn't get too upset over the Holden call up, I think it's good he is getting more time to train when he would have to be doing so on his own and since we have an opportunity to get him some minutes in these friendlies I say we capitalize on it. Williams and Shea however seem to be completely contradictory to the things Klinsmann has said he is looking for over and over and over.

You just proved my point on why two players with the same skill set should not be starting together

Bradley better than Jones, but not by much. Jones has a pedigree unmatched in the US player pool, but he is on the down side of his career. Bradley still getting better. The US just isn't deep enough to keep 2 of our best 3 or 5 players off the field in the search for better chemistry. Other countries can do this, but not us.

Your point...a lot of us have said that but I'd take a Bradley-Jones pairing over Edu, Beckerman, etc any day of the week. Till Holden is ready there is no other player that can play as the 6 or 8 better than Bradley or Jones, only other person I would like to see is either Mix or COB.
