Castillo, Corona, Bradley, Fabian, and Willaims will not be available against Belgium. Altidore not coming until the 26th means he will only have 2 or 3 training sessions with the team before the 29th, so my guess he won't be starting. Here is my starting 11:

----EJ---
Herc---Deuce---Zusi
---Jones--Kljestan--
Beasley-Besler-Gonzo--Cam
----Howard---

Subs: Guzan, Parkhurst, Goodson, Edu, Boyd, Altidore, Holden, Shea.

Castillo and Corona have Copa Lib. Fabian and Williams have Bundesliga playoffs, and Bradley has the Copa Italia.

With Bradley out Kljestan probably deserves the start, but don't be surprised to see Edu start.

Im hopeful he'll start Boyd up top. Also wouldnt be suprised if Parkhurst started over Cameron (he knows what Cameron can do)

I'd prefer Boyd starting. EJ is in great form but why not let Boyd get some time. It's been so long since he saw a decent amount of time for the Nats. I guess he's probably gunna get some playing time during the Gold Cup but still...

I agree 100% with nick

boyd > ej

I also was going to write last night on the MLS discussion (before the goals) why the hell is eddie johnson being called up with only 2 goals scored on the season. I know he 's been injured a little bit but there some other forwards with more goals.

Im glad Aron Johnnnsspn is still in the convo because I put rank him higher than EJ

So glad to not see bradley paired up with Jones, (you have no idea )

How are the ticket sales for the belgium game, last time i saw it was pretty weak at 14,000 ???

To each their own opinion. For me EJ starts because he is better than Boyd.

I'm with you, EJ has better feet, better runs, better vision, at least right now. He looked very confident yesterday.

I'm a little disappointed Alfredo Morales didn't get a call up to these friendlies.

He should of been brought to camp because he will be in the Bundesliga this coming season and it will been a good opportunity to evaluate him.

He should of taken Edu's spot.

A USL player?? Come on let's be real, I don't believe he should have been called either but thats ridiculous. EJ is like Wondo? I am trying to understand your logic, Eddie Johnson is no world beater but he has scored plenty of goals on the International stage.(albeit most against weaker competition) Wondolowski has literally done absolutely nothing not to mention they have totally different playing styles. I don't see the logic behind the comparison other than you not liking either because you are hoping we can discover a diamond in the rough off the bench.. And Boyd deserves to start all 3 qualifiers huh? What world are you living in? Altidore scored THIRTY goals in a respected European league and Terrence Boyd scored about 1/3 of Altidore's tally in a less competitive league. This is where someone says, "Yeah but Jozy doesn't score for the US." To which my response would be, "If you think Terrence Boyd would have scored more goals in our last couple WCQ, you are on crack." I think Boyd is a really good prospect and I am looking forward to seeing him get some good minutes in these friendlies(and hopefully Gold Cup) but Altidore is better, it's not even worth debating.

Thanks for the heads up on the transfer. I've been really busy and haven't checked out the news.

Not Sure if your being sarcastic but that was probably the funniest thing I've read in a while, USL player hahah and 2. Bundesliga is better than the Austria League(Terrence Boyd) and probably at the level of MLS

Well if players like Holden (I Know represented the USMNT before his injuries and is playing in the Championship) and Danny Williams can get called up with Minimum Minutes and Games, Why can't someone new especially for these 2 upcoming friendlies?

I'd prefer Alfredo Morales to be selected into this camp/friendlies. He's played decent enough in the games I watched over the last month as the starter. He's even scored a goal !

I would've left both Danny williams and maurice edu off the roster. When's the last time either of these two scored a goal ? Im getting tired of the DM position on the USMNT.

Im only giving klinsmann the benefit of the doubt on this roster selection because its too close to WCQ but in the next friendly I want to see new players.

I want to see boyd and altidore up top and let old man dempsey and gomez be the subs in these 2 games.

2-BL is better than the MLS from what I have seen of watching BL2 games when americans have been in the lineup. Note that since there is formerBL1 teams in BL2, it has a big range of talent from crap teams to VERY good teams.

And Boyd is scored against who? No one yet.

EJ gets the start and haters will be silenced.

Current/former MLS players would tell you otherwise. Cooper, Buddle, Frings are a few players that have stated that MLS is on Par with Bundesliga 2.

But I do agree that Morales should have been called in. But I think he gets called up for the Gold Cup.
