F**k the EPL. I've had enough of British fans, they are the worst when it comes to their comments on USMNT players.

Next to Mexico i hate England the most. as a matter of fact if Mexico was to play England i would root for Mexico.. I get super happy every time an epl team loses in champions league since they are extremely overrated.

I really don't get why this is such a big deal...

SK is really in form this season. So he has gotten some minutes for the USNT. Hasn't done anything special. He will most likely continue to get more minutes this year because of his club team performances. JK usually likes to slowly integrate players into the team, that's why he has been a little slow to give SK minutes. But he has gotten chances and will continue to get more. I just don't understand at all why rain is so mad...it seems that he is furious that SK isn't playing 90 minutes every game. You won't find any USNT fan that feels that way...most of us would like to see him given some chances but there is no way he is an automatic starter. There's no way you can get so mad about the amount of minutes he has played for us recently.

And 2tone's comments are spot on. SK is a #8, just like Bradley (not nearly as good but a bit more creative). Mix is a hybrid #8/#10. SK may be more in form than Diskerud but Diskerud is a different type of player. Klinsmann might feel that the team needs that type of player more than another #8. I see where he's coming from and don't think it's grounds for criticism, especially considering that he is giving Kljestan chances now.

The talk about Torres though is a load of crap. He has played a grand total of 45 minutes at his position. JK recognized how talented he is and since we desperately needed some creativity and skill in the attacking midfield positions, he gave Torres "the keys to the team" and a bunch of chances. Torres failed because he isn't an attacking midfielder, he's a deep-lying playmaker. But that doesn't mean he's not a good player and one that would excel if played as a CM. If I were the coach I'd have Bradley play as a 6 and Torres would start beside him. But I'm not the coach, I'm just a fan, so you won't see me spam my opinion all over the forum.

my issue is that he is NOT in particularly "good form" right now. he has been in "good form" his entire career and especially since 2011 - when JK took over

i LOVE, LOVE, LOVE how people denounce "statistics" but then look at SKs production in last couple months and declare he is in "good form"

the disconnect in mind-shattering

rain... let me explain it for you.

Due to SK's run of goals this season, one could generally assume he's in "good form". It's not 100% proof of it, but you could say and be fairly certain his form is solid at the moment without watching him every week. It does not say how the goals are scored, it doesn't say if they are tap in goals, it doesn't say if they are a result of his team dominating play and thus allowing him to get into deep positions when he would not be able to with the USMNT, it doesn't say if he's scoring 1 late goal in a 5-0 win, it doesn't say if it's from extremely poor defending from the opposition. Now, I am not saying that's the case with all or any of the goals, it's just pointing to the fact that stat's never show the whole story in this sport.

If, SK had not scored a single goal this season, could we assume he's in poor form? No, we could not because goals/assists alone don't tell the whole story of a player. Perhaps he's playing closer to the defense, perhaps it's not his role this season, etc. Perhaps his team aren't creating chances for him.

Based on 'rain stats', it would be better to start SK over Jozy as striker for the USMNT because he's scoring goals at the moment. Stats don't tell the entire story.

This is why posting simple, basic stats and thus assuming one player is better than another is pointless and 'can be' severely misleading. Stats have a place to be discussed without a doubt, but they should not be used as 'proof' that SK is better than Mixx or that Mixx is better than SK. You could prove using your stats that SK is better at scoring goals in his league than Mixx. No one would disagree with you there.

I hope I was able to help you out a little. Again, this is not a post bashing SK.

Have a great night Rain! I hope I helped you out a little. Team MojoRainFC!

All - again, with all due respect to his form, stats, desire, etc., he is not part of the 23. Just not good enough.

Not exactly...

I think this is how Klinsmann has it for the "2" of the 4-2-3-1

Bradley(8) Jones(6/8)
Jones(8) Cameron(6)
Kljestan(8) Beckerman(6)

Should Kljestan be above Jones in the 8 role? I think so. I think it should be Jones & Kljestan when Bradley is unavailable.

LOL!!! Klinsi waits for any or every reason to exclude Sacha..

Flight delayed??? SK on bench, bad breakfast, SK on bench, upset stomach? SK out of the team.

A big question for U.S. fans heading into the World Cup is surely on Jozy Altidore and just what is plaguing the young striker at Sunderland.
