It was interesting reading his interview about the roster. Shows some neat stuff... Zusi maybe to Europe? Corona and him as the Right side middies... (weird as Corona is a left foot CAM type) Williams?!?! No idea there. That's the head scratcher with Shea, although it may just be a "come run around with us" invite but Donovan should've gotten that I think. Unless this is his one "punishment" snub.

Other than that... Thought Torres should've gotten the nod, especially with Williams and Shea getting in there. Glad, very glad, to see Castillo. Hope he plays.

Also nice to hear his ideas about the Gold Cup... I'm more pumped for that almost than these games! Mixx, Bedoya, Gatt, Agudelo, Holden... Amongst those specifically mentioned.

No Landon Donovan, but six goalkeepers and Brek Shea who has played only 2 games since January.

The worst part of this roster is I see no goals being scored.

It's the same old boring roster. The only players on this roster that have possession skills are Joe Corona and Fabian Johnson. Dempsey's ball skills are so obvious (he's nots getting by anybody)

There is no creative players, no attacking, no possession. The US U-20 roster has better attacking and possession players

GK
*Sean Cookie monster Johnson and Bill Hamid should not be on this roster. They aren't good and never were.

Replace with: Steve Clark

Denfenders
*Mike Parkhurt hasnt played ever since he got a foot to the face by Shawn Parker

Midfield
*I'm sick and tired of Maurice Edu and brad davis. Edu does nothing in the midfield and brad davis is too old and slow
* Brek Shea - Please dude
Danny Williams - not even playing

Replace with: Mikkel Diskerud, Andrew Wooten, Alfredo Morales

Forwards
* Eddie Johnson should not be here, hasnt done anything

Theoretically: if we lose all 5 games or lose 4 tie 1, can Jurgen be on the hot seat?

i find the bocanegra omission puzzling. there is only one totally healthy, legit CB in camp - gonzalez

- besler has been out with "tweaked MCL". maybe it is nothing. maybe it is something
- goodson has played very little since march and generally has not been super dependable this year
- cameron looks less and less like a viable CB option and obviously comes into this camp as #1 RB

seems like more of a statement, less of a soccer decision to me... but i still dont think we have seen the last of boca

Klinnsy said so in the adendum US Soccer released along with the roster. He said Mix, Bedoya, Agudelo, Gatt and Johannson by name.

Really the only thing that bothers me with JK's picks is how he says one thing and then contradicts it. I don't have an issue with any of the picks. Just the hypocrisy. He's better off not saying anything. There is a decent explanation that can be made for most of the players. In the end, there is very little debate about who our "best XI" is so fighting over bench-warmers and camp bodies is what its always been... People mad because their pet player isn't included.

And that includes me. I thought Torres deserved the nod big time with his recent form at Tigres. Especially over say... D Williams or Shea. But it is what it is.

Contradictions all over the place with this roster.

You know he actually praised Edu's efforts in the Mexico game. He was hands down the worst player on the field. JK needs to get a clue.

Johansson will have to file a one-time switch. So, unless Johannsson doesn't do that soon, he won't be on the Gold Cup team. I think it takes about a month to two months to get that paperwork stamped, sealed, and delivered through FIFA.

goodson has played 1 full game since march WCQ. left game over weekend in 64th minute. did not dress today. obviously injured. besler has missed last 3 games injured. those 2 and gonzo make the 3 CBs he chose.

bocanegra omission appears completely tone-deaf

Boca is still in season. The Spanish second division ends June 8th a day after the USMNT's first qualifying game with Jamaica. Klinsmann has already stated that Boca will be on standby if CB injuries happen.

i understand boca would miss friendlies either way, but i dont think that explains leaving him off this roster. obviously santander can not keep him from leaving after their game on june 1 - to join before 1st quali.

goodson has played in total of 5 games this calender year, 2 in the last 2 months. this is after struggling a bit in fall as well.

besler out last 3 with injury

boca has been back in starting line-up since the end of march (7 games)

based on current injuries to besler and goodson, not only does boca needs to rejoin the team for WCQ, but probably need to add another CB for friendlies
