This gold cup is the perfect opportunity for JK to use the 4-3-3 as an attacking formation as he preaches and the U20s do. Would be great to let these younger players see what is needed to be successful in roles too. My ideal formation.

Gatt-Boyd-Wooten
Agudelo-Corona
Morales
Castillo-Hines-John-Farrell

Could substitute Jack Mac up front as a possibility

Yes. Yes.

I want the 4-3-3 attacking

Gatt----Boyd---Wooten
----Holden--Corona---
-----(Morales/COB)---

Castillo-Hines-John-Lichaj

Your subs are Bedoya, Agudelo, and Gyau

I'm gonna murder some kittens if Beckerman starts

Here is my starting 11:

Shea-------Boyd---------Wooten
------Holden----Diskerud---------
-----------Morales----------
Sinovic----Hedges---John-----Lichaj
-----------Rimando-----------

Subs: Sean John, Beitashour, Okugo, McCarty, Gatt, Agudelo, McInerney

adding Farrell even to the team let alone as a starter is a massive stretch.

Hines??????
He hasn't played in ages and Middlesbrough have sucked this year

Assuming no Gonzalez, Besley, Bocanegra, Cameron, or Brooks for the Gold Cup, can anyone give me a good reason why Hedges wouldn't start for the Gold Cup. He had a great rookie season and has been one of the best (maybe the best) central defender in the league this year.

Man how do you have Holden over Bedoya when he's been killing the game as of late? Holden is still a damn head scratcher for the simple fact he has done absolutely nothing since coming back and cannot even beat out a 19yo to get his position back..

Didnt Klinsmann say he wasnt going to bring in European guys because they wouldnt be fit? I know Klinsmann likes to contradict himself so I'm hoping he continues that trend.

this is very close to what I have although I don't think Shea should be part of the Gold Cup. He needs to play for Stoke in their preseason. This year is huge for him and he cant afford to miss it.

But come to think of it, I think a 4-4-2 would work best

-----Magee--McInerney----
--------Bedoya-----
-----Davis-----Diskerud
--------Morales-----
-Beitashour-Hedges-John-Lichaj
--------Rimando------

Subs: S. Johnson, Wooten, Holden, Goodson, Beltran, Gatt, Corona

I'm thinking something like this:

-------Boyd--------
Bedoya---Mix---Wooten
----Holden-Morales----
Beita-Hedges-John--Lichaj
------Rimando-------

I'll take either one honestly.. and you could start Goodsen at CB

When Holden shows that he should on these teams i would LOVE to see him there. Until then I just hope he has a very good camp.

You nailed the best starting roster for gold cup. Im more excited for this than the A team

IMO I would switch Shea for Magee or ADU
Clark for rimando

So you are saying if Bedoya transferred to Bolton he would waltz right in and take that spot away from this 19 yo? yeah no
