I watched the Bahia game on firstrow where Adu made the bench but went un-used. I think it was his first game...

The only thing that is a disappointment is the picture quality. Its like I watching a soccer game in the 80's on a tube tv.

lol cricklewood, funny name

He has not even scored or dealt an assist and everyones so quick to affirm the talent he has had for a number of years now. Good to see some early bandwagon jumpers! It is painfully obvious that he will do well in a country that appreciates good futbol skills and sadly not his own that couldnt see true talent if it was standing right in front of us. If Freddy has to play well in the land of the beautiful game, just to prove to everyone that he is worthy of the #10 jersey on the USMNT........so be it. The bottom line is we need Adu, Donovan, Bocanegra and Cherundolo back and in the starting line up likety split in order to build a cohesiveness with the other starters. If we don't have our starters soon it will be too late to have a TEAM together instead of a group of indivdual players thrown into the Lion's Den(World Cup) at the last minute.

Nope we don't need Bocanegra. Moving on from him now is the right thing to do.

Actually I wouldn't be surprised if Dolo doesn't make the WC roster.

I would be surprised if dolo made the WC14 roster. Its a year away and he will be a year older

RB competition: Chandler, Cameron, Yedlin, Henely

I would say Henley is a bit of a stretch.

But Chandler, Cameron, and Yedlin will all be in the running in my opinion along with Dolo.

@ Alcharod Yeah Whatever. Mostly haters or worse Doubters when it comes to Freddy's USMNT career. Looks like the majority of fans don't think he is worthy of nat team status. Not really a big concern as to when I got here homie. The WC is next summer and unless we want to go out and be obiliterated with a rookie team, we better start mixing season nat team vets with young talent. In big games, young untested players get schooled. You really want to face Italy, Germany, Dutch,Brasil, Argentina with guys earning there 3rd or 4th cap. It's not a good idea, unless you are in the "Rebuilding" phase of your progam.

Your preaching to the wrong person son. I'm an Adu Supporter... and to answer your question..no he doesnt deserve a USMNT starting sport. He deserves a call up to a USMNT Camp. and show his peers what he can do.

Ability has never been the problem with Adu. I have seen these glimpses from Adu many times! I want to see him perform at a high level on a week to week basis, not just a game here and there. Let's hope things continue to go well for him in Brazil.

Ok here is my problem with what you stated to a point. I understand and agree that he should be bring a high skill set game to game. But I ask you...why is it ok for Brek Shea, Holden, Danny Williams, Parkhurst, Goodson, and Edu to be able to rarely play, or be average at best and get a shot of that USMNT Roster? Why does it always seem that with Adu, he must be Messi like to even be considered for a role with the team he has already proven to help?

Because there is a big conspiracy to never give Adu the chance. Everyone knows about it, we just didn't tell you.
For I am creator of all things soccer. Seek repentance or just beat Mexico, either will get you in up here.

But like I said i totally agree that he should still bring his best game Kamphgruppe. Hopefully once the SERIE A starts next week he will get his chance to shine. You never know.

Totally agree. If he brought in guys like Morales, or Wooten, or other MLS guys he would at least be consistent and it would be hard to argue with the decisions.

@Alcarod So here I do agree with you entirely. Why does it seem if he doesnt play like Messi does he not get considered. It may be that Freddy is not a 90 minute player. As in, his stamina and physical prescence is not built for the entire game. However, if he were a starter and say be replaced later in a game after the USMNT could score early, that may be a good game plan. The USMNT has had trouble scoring first and scoring early in many games in the recent past. Also Freddy has been a late substitution for these reasons many times in his career and that really doesnt suit his style of game. He is definitely not a super sub type player.
