Again, this is a nightmare for Klinsmann if Donovan keeps playing like this while the USMNT is in session.

USSF has demonstrated there severe incompetence in selecting Jurgen as a coach and then maintaining him as coach, month after month of lack of production and chemistry in the USMNT. Stupid decision after stupid decision. We need new USSF leadership, new president (preferably someone who has actually played the game of soccer before).

How is this Gulati's fault. Gulati isn't involved in player personnel decisions. He has done what everyone wanted at the time. Fired Bradley, hired Klinsi, no one saw this fiasco coming. If Gulati started to interfere with player decisions no good coach would ever work for the USMMT. Klinsi has been very frustrating but for now we are still at this rate going to Brazil next year and he is the only coach to be able to say he as a winning record against and IN Mexico.

Donovan is gaining form and if I was a betting man he will be 100% easy in the next 3 weeks. To leave him off the roster for these next WCQ games is pathetic and incompetent.

I'll be the first to rip little klinsy if he doesn't get it right.

NO more BS about the locker room not accepting Donovan back. The team wants the best players in regardless. Donovan is still the best USMNT player period. He was absolutely money tonight.

Klinsy needs to do the right thing. Call him up. If you want him to work for a starting spot then so be it, but to leave off a player(Lando) that can take over a game and win it when the chips are down for the USMNT is downright criminal.

Lando not even called up to be apart of the 27 man roster is criminal.

Hopefully Klinsmann is clearly thinking this over tonight.

Even if Klinsmann uses him as a sub; I would rather have a Donovan to call on to come off of the bench then any other player period.

Totally agree with 2tone, LD even stated himself that he MIGHT not have been great enough to earn a call up but that his experience would be valuable to all players while training with the team in prep for our upcoming qualifiers which I agree. It's hard to believe that the greatest American soccer player of our time has been relegated to telling the media that he doesn't care if he doesn't play, he just wants to be with the club to help them out any way he can. (I think that's Donovan just trying to get a foot in the door so he can tear it up in training, which I have no doubt he will do)

lets see... who is the most efficient goal producer (goals + assists) so far in MLS season?

Landon Donovan.

at goal or assist every 96 minutes he is only player among the stat leaders under per 100.

and he missed 2 penalties!

here is what needs to happen:
- call LD in
- JK take a lot of shit for dishing to grant wahl before he had actually made up mind
- JK under a microscope for next month, and if things dont look good at all, there is some pressure to resign. if it looks good, terrific.

I def want to see him go, but I dont want him to go to far. JK's passion for US Soccer is in the right place, his coaching just stinks. He needs to take over for Gulati...where he can look over the Development of our leagues and make sure young children continue to play, and KEEP playing once Jr, Middle and High School begins. Also find a way to get the game started in the inner cities. Once we get inner city children playing the game and keeping with it...The start button truly begins with the next phase in US Soccer Evolution.

JK should be fired today. His calls are pathetic. Leave Boca out and call Parkhurst. He keeps calling EJ and Danny Williams. And the worst, left LD out.

The man called 6 - yes six - GKs into a 26 man camp. What the hell? At MAX only three of them would ever even have a chance to see the field. Why not bring in some younger guys to experience camp rather than waste spots on GKs who will NEVER play for us (Hall).

Losing patience in Klinsmann quickly.

This actually doesnt bother me at all. In his previous camps he called in 23 players (20 field and 3 GK). This time he called in 26 (20 field and 6 GK). He said he wants to give each guy time in camp. I actually wish he'd do this more often with younger players. (Ie 23rd guy could be Morales for 1 week, then Mixx for 1 week, then Gatt, then Corona). I would have preffered just Hamid and Sean John as the two goalies (if an injury struck Rimando could be there that day and would still be in game shape).
